Ah, another editor has brought up a very good point; there are many, many talkpage contributions that were signed by the editor who previously had this name before the name change, and those signatures will still point to this username. Because of that, this username should have been re-created after the name change to prevent someone finding themselves in exactly your situation. Since you've only just started using the account, it's probably simpler for you to either request a name change or just register a new account. New name?
