Talk pages

Hi, when starting a new section on a talk page add it at the bottom of the page. That is where people will look for it. Placing the comment at the top people might miss it, as they will think it is an old topic. Better still click the "new section" tab immediately above the page title, and everything will be done for you! --Michael Johnson (talk) 22:14, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I figured that out pretty soon after I'd done it. I'll make sure to be more careful next time. Corbmobile (talk) 06:05, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nontheists

Hi Corbmobile. Thanks for the apology, but I don't think anything you did or said went into the realm of incivility. You were just very confident of your position, and bold in applying it. That's something I've done more than a few times in my years here, and I know some editors have found this approach a bit off-putting, but that's a pretty common consequence of

being bold. I am well aware of the pitfalls of determining (ir)religious identity based on public statements. Sometimes, it's pretty cut-and-dried, like if someone says "I'm an atheist," but even then, they might change their minds, while we remain unaware. We just do the best we can with the reliable sources we have, and revise the material as new or better sources are found. Thanks for doing your part to make the list more accurate.
