It wasn't until slightly after I consulted byun byun for the VfD that I realized which 'Dave' this must be. Welcome. :) - Thatdog 08:18, 11 July 2005 (UTC)

Linking dates

Hi. I noticed you had been editing articles to put the links around day/month combinations in order for the date preferences to work. Whenever you do that, it is also a good idea to bracket the year, if it is included. That way, everyone's date prefs will display correctly (1999-12-31, etc, where the preference is to display the year first). Without bracketing the year, some of the advantages built into the software would be lost. I went ahead and added the links to the articles I saw you had worked on recently. Keep up the good work. Hi. Thanks for the pointer, and thanks for tidying up after me! I'll use the full style in future. DAJF 14:05, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Joban Line

I'm confused by your last edit to

Joban Line. The line doesn't go to Yoyogi-Uehara Station. Was this comment intended for a different article? Or, did you mean just from Toride to Ueno?? I was going to change it to Ueno, but thought I'd ask in order to be sure. Neier

Chuo Shinkansen

The below is trivial, but in the interest of communicating via a medium other than edit summaries, I'll proceed. I see that you reverted my edit removing 'the', which suggested that maglev trains in general had been ridden by more than 100,000, as you state that the figure applies to these particular trains. To emphasise that distinction, I've amended 'the' to 'these'. I hope you agree that this is more successful, but I'm not concerned if you revert. Cheers,

Tom
