Cassie (singer). Inappropriate links include links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that serve as advertising or promotion. Thank you. «JavierMC»|Talk 05:36, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply

External Link Cassie

Is the external link to Youtube the "OFFICIAL" page of Cassie or is it a fanpage? Fan pages are considered SPAM. --«JavierMC»|Talk 02:46, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I went and looked at the Cassie Youtube page and can see how it definitely looks official. Try to avoid these type of external links because they are VERY hard to verify as being official sites of living persons because anyone can make such a site without true verification of their identity. I'll leave the edit of adding it to her wiki page alone, but I can't promise that other editors will do the same. Good reason why they should be avoided. Thanks and happy editing. --«JavierMC»|Talk 03:11, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Using Myspace page to verify that a Youtube page is valid is the same. Myspace and Youtube both do not verify that the person establishing an account is actually who they say they are. See what I'm trying to say? It's better to find pages that are verifiable as belonging to the person they are referring.--«JavierMC»|Talk 05:26, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Here's a thought for you. If you go to Cassie's "official website" you will see that it is a hosted website where people register and post information of any kind that they want. Wouldn't you think that she could afford to buy here own domain name and register it, instead of being hosted on an "anybody can be hosted here site"? I'm just trying to let you know that some sites may claim to be official, when in fact they are more than likely simply fan sites.--«JavierMC»|Talk 05:15, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
