Non-free files aren't getting reduced

Hello!

DatBot seems to still be active with some tasks however not with the non-free file reduction.Jonteemil (talk) 14:19, 6 July 2020 (UTC)

I just noticed this. The last upload by DatBot was July 11. And DatGuy seems not to have made any edits since that day either. DMacks (talk) 03:02, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
Hello. All my configuration stuff for toolforge et al. was reset. There's a few things in need of ironing before re-enabling it. I'll try to do it within the next week. Dat GuyTalkContribs 11:56, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
That sounds perfect - Jonteemil (talk) 19:22, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
I noticed now that DatBot didn't reduce File:Arkea Arena Logo 2018.svg enough. How come?Jonteemil (talk) 21:10, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/RonBot 4 says it's user:RonBot/4/Source1.Jonteemil (talk) 12:29, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
I now noticed that DatBot reduced File:20th Century Studios.svg, File:2020 Stanley Cup playoffs logo.svg and File:Agence France-Presse Logo.svg too much, just so you know. The two last reduced files were also marked by JJMC89 bot for reduction again so I guess those weren't reduced enough. As you wrote earlier, these SVGs are some tricky files... :).Jonteemil (talk) 12:47, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

This came late

This, I mean. Can you check? Thanks. Drmies (talk) 03:20, 3 August 2020 (UTC)

I would guess it has something to do with the Toolforge replica databases being updated for the first time in a week. --AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 04:54, 3 August 2020 (UTC) (talk page watcher)
@Drmies: ACN is right, see replag. I can disable it until it's down if you'd like. Dat GuyTalkContribs 07:50, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
I just accidentally blocked two more users based on outdated reports. Please do something about it. Drmies (talk) 02:58, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but I had to block it. I'm hoping you can fix this soon. Please look at my history, and the bot's history, to see all the stale reports I had to remove from AIV. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 03:03, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

@Drmies: As with most bots, DatBot has a disable button for specific tasks that can be found on its user page. Dat GuyTalkContribs 08:39, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
On the top of the page, in the first box, I found this: "Administrators: if this bot is malfunctioning or causing harm, please block it." Drmies (talk) 14:08, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
@Drmies: It's an emergency measure. Regardless, you should be able to unblock the bot and re-enable the task, as the database lag seems to be down to zero again on enwiki. Dat GuyTalkContribs 15:30, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
I can't judge that, DatGuy--that sort of technical detail goes well above my pay grade; what you and AntiCompositeNumber were talking about doesn't mean much to me, sorry. Best to ask a friendly admin whom you know has the technical skills. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 15:40, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
@Drmies: Basically, because of one thing or another, the edits that were performed onwiki had a delay before the bot realised they happened. @Widr:, could you unblock the bot please? Dat GuyTalkContribs 15:49, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
Drmies, I would also agree that it is safe to unblock the bot. There is still database maintenance going on, but it is no longer affecting all of the replica databases. Basically, someone stopped the mail from getting to DatBot for a while, and then dumped a whole bunch of ballots letters on its desk a week later.
DatGuy, you might want to throw in a SELECT lag FROM heartbeat_p.heartbeat WHERE shard = "s1" query to check the replag on the server you're using, or check the timestamps of the events themselves. While week-long replag is not common, it's not the first nor the last time we'll have extended periods of replag. --AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 15:51, 4 August 2020 (UTC) (edit conflict)
AntiCompositeNumber, I'll take your word for it. Thanks. Drmies (talk) 15:54, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

Hello(Saroj Upreti)

Hello Wikipedia! It's been more than 3 years since I made any edits to Wikipedia. I remember those when I was still a kid back then and did weird stuffs here. During this Lockdown I suddenly remember once I was an editor here who was blocked for destructive editings and bad manners. I am growing back interest in editing, but all of my previous accounts were globally blocked also I dunno the password I set those days. So, if anyone is interested in helping me I am planning to re join wiki through a new account for progressive editings. And I am extremely sorry for my mistakes I made when I was a kid back then.
