Equation clarity

DayBreak, I'm trying to clean up your genetic purging article to use standard Wikipedia formatting, including formatting of the equations. I'm confused, as one of your equations includes the term (1 - 1/2N) and I don't know if this is intended to represent

${\displaystyle \left(1-{\frac {N}{2}}\right)}$

or

${\displaystyle \left(1-{\frac {1}{2N}}\right)}$
