I registered this account almost three years ago with the aim of becoming a regular contributor to this project, having been a long-time lurker and anonymous contributor beforehand.

Sadly, my goal was never realised; I only ever managed to be an irregular contributor.

Now, I find that both my outlook on life and my views on this project have changed dramatically.

I wonder aloud if the project can continue as it is, successfully, while remaining true to its original mission.

Time will tell, and I will be watching with interest, as a lurker and anonymous contributor once more.

I might even return one day with a renewed enthusiasm, although under a different account. An invigorating fresh start! Again, time will tell.

For now, I wish all remaining and future contributors a Happy New Year, and better success in their endeavours, both on- and off-project.

This talk page (and my main page notices) remain available to assist the project regarding contributions under this account into the future.

Goodbye and good luck!

Sorry to see you leave

You seem like a nice person, and it makes me sad when good people leave. If you would like to, please feel free to send me mail with what made you take this step. I deleted your subpage per your request. — Sebastian 17:37, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank-you for helping process my CSD U1 deletion requests earlier on today, and for your kind comments above. I would like to take up your offer to discuss this further on e-mail, and will look at sending you one within the next day or so. In the meantime, allow me to offer you all the best for the future, and finish by saying: Thanks and farewell! — digitaleontalk @ 21:11, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've sent the e-mail. Look forward to your reply (if you choose to reply, that is :-). — digitaleontalk @ 18:02, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Echoing Sebastian here, 'tis a shame, but such a decision comes at some point or another for most of us I guess. Good luck and goodbye, may life treat you well! Hope to see you back sometime. Icewedge (talk) 03:20, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
My thanks to you for saying so (both here and on your user talk). May life treat you well also. — digitaleontalk @ 18:02, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
