I was fixing up some of the links on the Gordonville page you made, and I thought it would be nice to have a picture of the place, especially since you described it so nicely. Jfingers88 22:52, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Which La Salle? If you mean La Salle College High School, then yes. My parents both graduated from La Salle College, just as you did, apparently. Jfingers88 03:30, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Many kind thanks for developing and sharing the calendar box at User:Gurch/Calendar, which I have borrowed for use on my own user page with only a few very slight adaptations (including adding pi day on 14 March). Best wishes. EdK 20:32, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! Nice to see that somebody else likes my little userpage widget. I'd forgotten about Pi Day – too late for this year, but I'll add it anyway; thanks for reminding me. Displaying the time and a link to Wikinews are also good ideas, hadn't thought of that before.

I am a reformed Mennonite

I am a Reformed Mennonite and would like only factual information put in about our church. There is no evidence that the fictional work of Tilly has any basis in truth. The girl was never a member of our church.

Also the numbers are wrong on our membership. I had corrected them and you took those out. Also the info on Tolstoy you took out, which is factual. This information can be found in letters written by Tolstoy, our ministry, and in the book The Russian Secret.

I would appriciate only facts being posted.

Thanks you

Graterford Prison

Hi. I am writing an article on the State Correctional Institution at Graterford and was looking for its history. I have looked all over the place and your article is the best source I can find for the prison's history. Do you know where I can get some more information about the prison from when it was built until now?

Ma432 (talk) 04:37, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Tahir Ma432 (talk) 04:37, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your very kind words. I have found almost nothing on-line about the history of Graterford, looking when I initially composed the brief article about the prison, and continuing to look. Incorrect info is out there: a few Web pages dealing with Eastern State penitentiary at Cherry Hill (Philadelphia) incorrectly imply that the Graterford prison was completed and ready to receive transferred inmates in 1971, about 40 years after the actual date the prison started; inmates and guards were indeed transferred then, but to an already functioning and aging prison. There are indexes to archival sources listed on-line, records kept by the Commonwealth and (I believe) Temple University, though the latter may be newspaper or other historical records from a non-government source. I have always wanted to research further, but doubt I will ever have time to do so, making my living doing very different work these days. Thirty-plus years ago I worked inside Graterford's walls and recall pointing out to others who worked there the brass plaque by the main gate etched with a diagram of the prison's nonogon shape, clearly indicating eight prison blocks, whereas only five had ever been completed at that time. History was all around us, but few were looking for it. I would be delighted to share impressions of the prison as it was then with you (prisons, like many structures, are more stories than architecture, though architecture certainly informs the stories), though e-mail would be a better venue for that. You may click on 'e-mail this user' on toolbox at left of this page. If you have already done so, I apologize; it is a busy (& spammy) address that is not followed too carefully these days, but I will look more diligently for a while. Dear friend, I found your article today and inserted it at Jacob Glatstein (1896–1971). Since a half of year I am adding both tags (see tagcloud/gangleri ) and Common Knowledge (CK) ( see gangleri's Helper Badges ) to LibraryThing ( where I added mainly CK for Series and Characters, but also some for Places and Awards ). Is this ( [1], [2] ) also somthing interesting for you as well? Best regards and greetings from Munich Germany. ‫·‏לערי ריינהארט‏·‏T‏·‏m‏:‏Th‏·‏T‏·‏email me‏·‏‬ 23:53, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Graterford Prison

Hi! How often are you in Montgomery County, PA?

The article State Correctional Institution – Graterford needs a photo...

There is a sign stating the facility's presence located at the intersection of Graterford Road and Perkiomen Creek Road in Skippack Township, Montgomery County. See the Google maps view of the sign - This is not actually on the prison grounds, so it shouldn't be a problem getting a photo of the sign.

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is

WP:MINOR
). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of
