Question regarding "Democratic Republic of the Congo" edit

What's "MoS" and why is that a reason to undo my edit?theMainLogan (talk) 01:46, 26 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

MOS:BOLDSYN
, which covers how to use boldface in the first sentence of an article, and goes into details on what are appropriate "alternative names".
As Zaire has its own article and is no longer a current name for the Democratic Republic of the Congo I don't believe it meets the criteria for an alternative name (which are outlined in the Manual of Style). EditorOnOccasion (talk) 08:31, 26 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I understand now. I apologize for the inconvenience. —theMainLogan (talk) 11:43, 26 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@TheMainLogan no problem at all, thanks for reaching out! EditorOnOccasion (talk) 11:46, 26 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ActivityPub

Re this revert, sure, but there are many implementations -- why should these be singled out for listing here? --ZimZalaBim talk 01:49, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Upon checking further Activity Streams is actually linked to in the infobox (though misspelt) and so should probably be removed as it's already linked to. Micropub is referenced directly in the W3C recommendation document for ActivityPub[1] and is one of six specifications (including ActivityPub and Activity Streams) recommended by the W3C Social Web Working Group[2]. It may actually be worth adding these other specifications as well though I understand the desire not to make the section too cluttered. EditorOnOccasion (talk) 02:16, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
MOS:NOTSEEAGAIN actually only states that the "See also" section should not include links already included in the article body, but I believe the reasoning would also preclude linking to Activity Streams again if its included in the infobox. Will make the change but feel free to revert if you disagree. EditorOnOccasion (talk) 02:39, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply
