Speedy deletion nomination of User:US MOINUDDIN

Hello There,

I had received this notice on 'history' page, but would like to know the reasons for sending this notice. Although, my information was available on wiki for couple of years now, any specific reasons for this notice? Would appreciate your response and patience.

Kind Regards, US Moinuddin <redacted> — Preceding unsigned comment added by US MOINUDDIN (talkcontribs) 09:20, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

The "specific reasons" for the notice is you are using your page for promotional purposes. That is not compatible with policy. Eeekster (talk) 00:22, 29 January 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Real-time contrasts chart

Hello Eeekster. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Real-time contrasts chart, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: significant;y different from the deleted version to avoid G4 - suggest another AfD. Thank you. SmartSE (talk) 22:00, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

Jing Gong edit

The article for Jing Gong is incorrect, i tried to fix it because the website directs to another company that is J.G.Works = is NOT Jing Gong, so why you cancel my edit? fix it. Wrong website direct for wrong people. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Truthwillstand (talkcontribs) 03:54, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

When you don't explain what you are doing in the edit summary, you often get reverted. Eeekster (talk) 04:53, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

Glory Film Co. pictures i.e. File:PosterTheTroop.jpg

I have uploaded jpg images to support this page: <PosterTheTroop.jpg>, <PosterLights.jpg>, <PosterMovingMemories.jpg>, and <PosterTheGlow>. All content and images I upload are my photographs, or my graphics, i.e. created by me. All images I upload are free for use on Wikipedia. How do I go about confirming this fact in order to stop my images being removed. Please advise the form of words necessary. Thank you.

The notice tells you how to confirm permission. Eeekster (talk) 19:55, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

Citizens Review Board for Copyright Police

From a quick glance here, Wikipedia needs a Citizens Review Board for their copyright police. In the alternative, new copyright police and/or a new copyright police chief are in order.Trojancowboy (talk) 14:09, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

Better yet, just comply with policy instead of fighting it. Eeekster (talk) 19:53, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

A&P Store

To answer your question, This photo as taken in the 1880s and the source is the Huntington Family Foundation. George Huntington Hartford was 50% owner of A&P at the time. --User:GRUBBXDN —Preceding undated comment added 17:18, 12 February 2012 (UTC).

Eric Burroughs

Formal photo clearance paperwork has been sent to the owner of the rights, who OK'd release of the image. No hard feelings about the tagging, I knew it was coming, but since the release form requires the URL of the image, I sort of was forced to place the cart before the horse. File:Andy Johnson-Laird Streak Image - Daisies.jpg

Apologies. I saved this image before I realized that Andy Johnson-Laird need to email to [email protected] (which he has now done). I'm new to Wikipedia, so I wonder whether you might be able to tell me whether I need to re-upload the image or whether you can restore it? Thanks in advance. QueenieBeeIsMe (talk) 23:06, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

It'll probably be restored if the permission is received and passes muster. Eeekster (talk) 23:08, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

Regarding File:Gampsorhynchus_rufulus_juv.jpg

It's a self work. Forgot to select the license. Have edited the image to reflect the license. Let me know if I should remove what you've added to my talk page. Same was the case with TDS web admin 61.jpg . Seems like it has been deleted already. Will upload it later when I find time. Pkspks (talk) 09:54, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

Regarding Q3 Technologies

Hi There was a page on Wkikpedia by the name of Q3 Technologies till 3 days ago. At the start of the page it said that it could be deleted due to notability. I tried to edit the page, removed even the slightest bit of marketing content, linked the article better (removed 2 red links) and provided reference where ever i could, but it still got deleted. Hence, i made it again. I would really appreciate if you could tell me what I'm doing wrong and if the topic of my article is even work writing and article about. Thanks Peter

I can not put online

Hello,

I just tried more than once to put an article online but few minuters later, it was deleted. I don't try to put a spam or this kind of thing, I just try to share some informations without doing any advertising about this company. When I look other companies as Opti-time Company, they have their own page on Wikipedia. It would be nice if someone could explain me why I'm living that.

Regards Philippe G. — Preceding unsigned comment added by British-msm (talkcontribs) 10:29, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

It's an advertisement for a less than notable company. That's why it was deleted. Eeekster (talk) 03:37, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Can you check the image license for me?

I need help with adding lisence tag. I tried, can you help me check? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hipposcrashed (talkcontribs) 03:33, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

I already did and nominated the upload for deletion as a copyright violation. Eeekster (talk) 03:36, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

copyright violation

Sorry about the image I uploaded, I didn't understand the copyright terms. If you look at my contributions, I don't upload images much, and this one wasn't even going to be used except on my own userpage. --

Copyright

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Saba_in_July_2011.JPG I got a message saying that I need to put the title for copyright issues for this picture that I uploaded. It was taken with my iPhone while I was deployed. What title do I use for that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pens2595 (talkcontribs) 02:04, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

I have no idea. It's your upload; you should know how to describe it. Eeekster (talk) 02:06, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

Was on the image edit page when you posted. Now added. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Uniuniunium (talkcontribs) 21:11, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

Oleg Cassini

Thanks for noting the need to further detail the copyright on two Oleg Cassini images. I have requested and received full free use permission from the copyright holder corporation, I just dont know how to properly notate it to appease the wiki gods. Is the text of the relevant email sufficient? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rtjd22 (talkcontribs) 17:09, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

Kees Paintings

I think this image is okay. I own the painting and the image. Kees is dead and there is no estate. So, what can I do to make this image right? --Logatorial (talk) 23:48, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

I really just want to use this image, 8XX - Weldon Kees - 1949.JPG, to illustrate the Kees entry. Is it good to go yet? --Logatorial (talk) 00:33, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

You might want to think about using a Fair Use Rationale. Eeekster (talk) 02:12, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi again, I have the same problem with this photo. Dion — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marwillu (talkcontribs) 21:40, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

SS Santa Rosa (1932)

Hello Eekster, the page URL for the image source of USAT Santa Rosa has been updated.Mariepr (talk) 02:52, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

I just spent some time fixing this and the 1958 image, although I don't understand why the copyright tags didn't appear when the various pulldown menus were used to justify the image use. Mariepr (talk) 05:22, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
They only appear during the initial upload and only if you use the wizard. Eeekster (talk) 04:51, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi there, can you please tell me what is the problem with this pic? This is the photo of my band (I appear in this photo) and it was taken by my brother. How can I fix this problem?

Regards, Dion — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marwillu (talkcontribs) 21:37, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

Discussing it here won't help. You need to visit the deletion discussion page. Eeekster (talk) 00:08, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

OAAnderson.jpg‎

Sorry I'm new to all of this. It's a photo taken by the U.S. AirForce during his service. His my Great Uncle and I found it with his personal papers/history's that my father kept. I'm not sure what else I need to add, I thought since it was taken in the line of duty it was public domain. Thanks Dawn Dawniedoodlebug (talk) 04:30, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Did you state that on the page? Eeekster (talk) 00:08, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

DSTKSC uploading file created by himself

Dear Eeekster, This statement was added to the comments and states who created the file. So I do not understand your comment.

The Strategic Marketing Director of the Interface Data Path product line in the Silicon Valley Analog entity of Texas Instruments is responsible for creating this image to explain the technology that TI develops and sells. It is for this reason that TI offers the file "free for use" to TI's customers, industry analysts, interested engineers, and the public. As the authorized representative of TI, the Strategic Marketing Director encourages distribution and reuse of this image, but please give credit to TI as the source and do not modify.

Sincerely, DSTKSC

Without a real source how do we verify the license? For that matter the statement you quote does not imply all rights are released as claimed in the license tag you used. Eeekster (talk) 00:05, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Still Not Resolved

Permission for File:Our Injustice, Vietnam-lge.jpg and File:Vietnam-lge.jpg was sent by Dorothy Koppelman, the holder of the copyright, to [email protected]. Is permissions-en@wikimedia. org a different mailbox? Maybe that's why you can't seem to locate it. I will forward her email directly to you if you wish. Still not sure why you're questioning the source of Our Injustice, Vietnam. It was given to me by Dorothy Koppelman to upload. Her permission has been sent. The print is in the Whitney Museum and the Brooklyn Museum. I find your comment "Just saying that isn't going to fix anything. Follow the instructions that have been given" very rude. My note was to inform you the permission is there for you to verify. LoreMariano (talk) 03:02, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

I can't help you with that. Please go to Wikipedia:Media copyright questions for help with the issue. Eeekster (talk) 03:06, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

Added Rationale for Non-free content

Hi Eeekster, Thanks for the feedback. I went back and read the criteria for non-free content and revised the Summary section and Licensing section. I added in rationale for the use of the image. Please let me know it this is sufficient or if more need to be added.

The revisions are posted at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Nnamdi_Moweta.jpeg

What constitutes a real source?

Dear Eeekster,

I've been uploading graphics and diagrams to explain the content on the LVDS page that were created by myself. However, you then asked for a "real source". What evidence can I use to verify the real source? DSTKSC (talk) 18:36, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

Were they created as part of your job? Eeekster (talk) 19:33, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

Eeekster; Get off the twinkle. You are too inexperienced to use it.
