History

The "Festival El Chupete is the first "International Kids Advertising and Communication festival", an independent festival that has the main objective of awarding each year the best creative works with values targeted to the "infant audience".

This Festival aims to give recognition to all the professionals related to the communication such as: Advertisers, communicators, screenwriters, advertising agencies, producers…which invest a big part of their effort taking care "responsibly" and "creatively" of the communication directed to the "chilldren". Also, El Chupete each year during the gala tries to discuss and analyze a topic that has as a principal axis the debate about communication and childhood.

The Festival El Chupete is a contest opened to all sorts of audiences. It combines knowledge and recognition. The Festival started in 2005, from that year until 2011 the festival took place in Valencia known as City of Sciences and Arts (Spain). In 2012 this event was celebrated in Spain's capital Madrid and will be, once more, taking place in Madrid in 2013.

Objectives

El Chupete has been raised with a clear social objective of addressing the concern about the communication targeted to the smallest. This Festival has the aim of sensitizing the industry about the importance of the communication messages, awarding the creative and responsible communication.


This Festival, not only, awards the best creative ideas, but it also, represents a reference for the latest trends in the marketing industry of kids communication. Is a social and economic reflection spot that motivates the people involved in this industry.


- To increase awareness among the advertisers of infant products of the importance of this type of communication and to push for creative campaigns that also transmit values.       - To motivate agencies to improve their creativity and originality in advertising for infants.     - To give awards for the effort of professionals given the difficulty of this type of communication and the challenge they face in being recognized in other festivals.     - Finally, to create a festival that recognizes and awards the kids advertising and communication that protects the rights of children and to demonstrate that quality criteria and campaigns that respect these rights.
