I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Aaron Cohen-Gadol, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. Hi Mark - Thanks for your help. I see you've made changes to the page where I did not request any edits. Specifically the receipt of the Vilhelm Magnus Medal. Can you help me understand why this was removed? Dr. Cohen can be see receiving this award various places online and there are photos of the award itself. There is no formal "approval" process nor "moderators" for this article.
Regarding the removal of content:
  • Much of the removed material was not verifiable: see
    Wikipedia's policy on verifiability
    which mentions The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the contribution.
  • Some material was also only referenced to primary sources written by Cohen-Gadol or his employers; one generally needs independent secondary sources to describe important contributions.
Also regarding your edits about the Vilhelm Magnus medal, neither of the two cited references (1, 2) mention that he won the award. This is again a problem of verifiability and can be resolved by finding reliable sources that state that he received such an award. — MarkH21talk 23:40, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If it's a major award, surely there are official websites or news articles that talk about it. Feel free to provide such sources on
reliable source for details about the award. Just like how uploading a picture of the actual Nobel Prize medal doesn't provide encyclopedic information about the Nobel Prize, but The Nobel Foundation and The New York Times do. — MarkH21talk 23:50, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply
