Request reason:

I apologize for this. I am new to bot development for Wikipedia and was experimenting with the scripts included in the Pywikibot repository. I didn't realize that the script I was running removed the maintenance template from the general sandbox. I went ahead and read the bot policy provided in the block message to understand why this block occurred. I also see in the bot policy that testing bots within my userspace (within reason) should be used instead of the general sandbox or other pages. In addition, I re-read the Pywikibot tutorials in order to understand ways to test without disruption and see that Test Wikipedia is another place where bots can be tested without disrupting the main site. If I do end up working on a bot in the future that provides legitimate use to Wikipedia, I will be sure to follow the steps for approval outlined in the bot policy.
