Re: Nominations
I've done some changes to clean it up and bring it into line with the style pages (thank God for Notepad find/replace :D), but I'm afraid I don't know if there's been a centralised discussion about awards sections and articles. If I recall correctly, in most articles nominations are included if the artist has received only a handful of awards and nominations, and excluded if they have received many awards and nominations — I think the latter applies to the RBD article. Also, the case could be made that the nominations could be added to other articles (e.g. on the albums and singles), so the information hasn't been removed from Wikipedia; it's just in a more suitable place. But then, I suppose it could be said that some awards ceremonies are more notable than others — e.g. a Latin Grammy Award nomination may warrant a mention in the artist article more than a "win" at some other awards ceremony.
I'm not familiar with this band, so I'm not completely sure what the best solution is, but I hope that helps! :) Extraordinary Machine 15:33, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Billboard Charts & ref links

- First of all, I wanted to compliment you on your article List of Hot 100 (U.S.) chart achievements and trivia; you've done a pretty respectable job, IMO, on providing historical chart data in a meaningful fashion. That said, I have posted a response to your statement about why you removed a contribution of mine, namely songs that hit No. 1 on both the country and Hot 100 charts. You had argued that it was irrelevant, and I rebutted on the article's talk page by saying that hitting No. 1 on both charts (emphasis mine) was an noteworthy accomplishment. That said, it's pretty clear it's not going back in the article, so I wanted to offer a compromise: A separate article for songs that hit the top of both the country and pop charts? The references are there, so all that would be needed is to create the article.
- Also, you suggested, in essence, "What about hitting both the top of the Hot 100 and R&B (or, depending on the year, Soul, Black, Urban Contemporary, etc.) charts?" Yes, an article could definitely be created there, as the references are available. Excepting for perhaps adult contemporary, that's probably as far as I'd go since the rest I think are component charts and would create an article of ungodly length. Also, I think it'd be impossible to list all crossover hits (i.e., country songs that charted Hot 100 and vice versa) since the number of songs doing so is countless. Hi, it is my personal request that can you kindly rewrite the article
Hello, me again. Could you have a look at recent edits by User:Chastempest to the above article. You will see that he has been in a recent, mini 'edit-war', with me over wording. I believe that he is actually the 'Charles Blackburn' mentioned in the article, so probably COI comes into play. Certainly his comments are unreferenced and partially violate POV. I would prefer not to get involved in a long running argument with him on the article - not least of which because I am no expert on the subject. Incidentally, three weeks ago I left a message on his talk page, but got no reply.
He has also recently edited The The - again partly promoting himself (assuming I am correct) - although the wikilink on his own name is erroneous ?!

Release Me (and WP:SONGS)
If you want to make it "Release Me (Wilson Philips song)" I won't quibble; "Release Me (song)" is unreasonable because it's hardly the best known song of the title. The 1946 song of that name was, for several different artists and in several different years, a #1 hit.
However, I always use years to disambiguate, and I think the idea of using the artist name as in

Billboard's webpage will publish the entire top 100 tomorrow, but, as usual, it is already published in lots of forums, and as I'm not writing anything ficitous and none of the other charts positions in the list have any references, I tought it was not necessary to write it down.

Oh my God... that's hilarious. The funny thing is that in the "Do it well" page the chart info is updated with the new position (#53) but you didn't go there and remove it but you do it in the discography chart! LOL. billboard.biz
Hey Eric, since you seem to be a Billboard fan, I was wondering if you have access to billboard.biz, which requires subscription. I'm asking because there's some conflicting sources regarding the first week sales of Curtis worldwide. Media Traffic says it sold 921,000 but other sources such as Vivendi (which is being questioned) and apparantly billboard.biz say nearly 2 million.
