Civil Partnership

Hi!

This is further to the mediation case: [[1]]

User Ros Power continues to damage this article by reverting the phrase 'same-sex couples' and inserting ultra-Conservative viewpoints into this and other articles. (See the CP article and the Discussion page, particulrly the 'couple' subsection where Ros id holding forth under her IP address) For this she has been censured but it carries on.

You recently agreed to write up your opinion on the above mediation case in order to defuse the issue on the CP article. I can't see this anywhere and maybe I'm looking in the wrong place - sorry, am newish here! Perhaps you could let me know where to find your decision? Many thanks

Despite your best efforts, Ros Power has now launched an all-out assault on what is a well-written and researched article. It is comforting to see that I have not been alone in trying to prevent Ros Power from using WP as a pulpit for her ultra-conservative religious views. Sadly, WP seems to offer these trolls endless playing space while making it difficult, too difficult, for editors of goodwill to get on with the job. So, I'm going to give up. Life is too short! Thomas -

Ros Power has agreed to abide by the rules rather than continue to POV push (though I notice she's not all sweetness and light: her most recent contib elsewhere equates being gay with child abuse! Sickening but I'll leave it be) Anyhow, she wanted Mediation but Tod and I declined on the basis that Mediation has taken place before and you and the MedCab didn't find in her favour.

She is clearly determined to ignore all her fellow editors, the general consensus, you, MedCab, etc. Is it possible for you to bounce this up to MedCom for a binding answer? It would save a lot of time. Thanks. Chris 83.217.190.69 16:25, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA

Thank you, Tmorton166 (or is it Errant? I'M CONFUSED!): for voting on my RFA, which passed 95 to 1. Those were some kind words you left on your support statement; I would also like to thank you for that! Now I am an admin, and as such I will do my best to act well as an administrator. After all, I am devoted to the whole Wikimedia project (according to you, at least). If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. —

Sidebar redesign final vote!

It's that special, special time! No, grandma's not coming over. No, not time to clean out the fridge. It's sidebar redesign voting time! Yes, the community has narrowed it down to 3 different options, and a vote for the same old original sidebar is a choice one could vote for as well. Voting for multiple options is allowed, and discussion on the whole shebang is right there on the vote page itself.

You're probably getting this message because the sidebar fairy (JoeSmack for now) noticed you commented on the project at some time over on at Wikipedia talk:Village pump (proposals)/Sidebar redesign. Lovely. JoeSmack Talk 07:13, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

September Esperanza Newsletter

Program Feature:
Barnstar Brigade
Here in Wikipedia there are hundreds of wikipedians whose work and efforts go unappreciated. One occasionally comes across editors who have thousands of good edits, but because they may not get around as much as others, their contributions and hard work often go unnoticed. As Esperanzians we can help to make people feel appreciated, be it by some kind words or the awarding of a Barnstar. This is where the Barnstar Brigade comes in. The object of this program is to seek out the people which deserve a Barnstar, and help them feel appreciated. With your help, we can recognize more dedicated editors!

Although having the newsletter appear on everyone's userpage is desired, this may not be ideal for everyone. If, in the future, you wish to receive a link to the newsletter, rather than the newsletter itself, you may add yourself to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Newsletter/Opt Out List.
