Re: Nationality flags There are a few problems with flags. First and foremost, they are not part of a player's name: if they are to be included, then at the very least there should be a separate column. Secondly, a flag alone doesn't effectively communicate the information: if you don't know a specific flag, it's hassle to work it out. Yes, you can click on it to find out the country, but while a good Wikipedia article should include relevant Wikilinks, it shouldn't encourage the reader to leave, which a flag alone might. Thirdly, it is not always obvious what nationality a player considers himself to have. For instance, Jonathan Bond played for Wales first and now England, while Lloyd Doyley was generally listed as English on Wikipedia and elsewhere, until his call-up by Jamaica.

Personally, I think it's best to stick to international representation, rather than nationality on its own, and to separate stats from nationality. As an example, check out how I did it in season when I was most active, 2009–10. No flags in the player section, but that was more than made up for by the information contained in the International part. —WFCFL wishlist 18:48, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 13

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2013–14 Watford F.C. season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page David Hughes (footballer) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
