Adoption?

Hi Francis!

I'm Steve - you left me a note requesting adoption. I do currently have an adoptee - but he doesn't need much day-to-day help so I have time to take you under my wing.

I'd be happy to help you in any ways I can - I'm a reasonably experienced Wikipedian - about 6,000 edits and a couple of featured articles under by belt (Mini and Mini Moke - I'm also a gear-head). If you have any burning questions or need for advice, you can leave messages for me on my talk page or you can email me at <[email protected]>. I'm something of a science 'nut' (although my degree is in Cybernetics and I work in computer games so I don't have a specific specialisation) - I visit Wikipedia most days.

There isn't a formal process for this adoption thing - basically, I'm here for you for anything from editing advice, process issues, content issues or to how to deal with idiots. Let me know how I can help. I'll take a look through your recent contributions and see whether there is any instant advice I can come up with - but aside from that - whatever you need, give me a shout!

(...time passes...)

Hmmm - it doesn't look like you've made any edits since you created your account - so I don't have much to go on. What subjects were you thinking of contributing to?

Hello, I'm glad you have found assistance! I hope you the best luck with your Wikipedia experience. However i ask if you are happy with your current adopter, that you please remove the adoptee's userbox from your userpage. If you have any questions just leave me a message and we can discuss. Thank you for your time. Matthew Yeager 02:08, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cessation of Adoption.

It looks like you haven't made any contributions to Wikipedia since sometime in May - I guess you decided not to stick with editing Wikipedia, which is a shame. However, I'd like to adopt another user - so I'm going to remove you from my list of adoptees. Sorry things didn't work out - and if there is any advice I can give you in the future, please let me know. SteveBaker 19:21, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
