- I'd just like to mention that the lede is not the place to put today's news. Things like that belong within the main article body, within a relevant section and paragraph. If we put every single "In XX July 2012, foo happened, and then bar happened" within the introductory paragraph of each article, then these articles would become messy very quickly.
