I have undone your move of

otheruses}} template to the main article. In future, if you move an article to make space for a disambig page, you need to also edit all of the articles that link to that name, and change them to link to the correct disambiguated article. Also, "auto racing" is not Australian English. Cheers. --Scott Davis Talk 15:24, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply

Personal abuse

Please do not direct personal abuse towards other users. Please see

WP:NPA for why we have this policy. -- The Anome

Warning: Please do not add obscenities to Wikipedia, like you did in User talk:Zzyzx11. Injecting unnecessary swear words, racially or sexually abusive comments, or provocative pictures to articles or user pages offends many people. Wikipedia treats such actions as vandalism and blocks people from editing for such repeated vandalism. -- Tachikoma 22:57, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Note: this talk page has now been protected against further vandalism. -- The Anome 23:03, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry you feel that way about the
policy on the userboxes. As I understand it, the policy of not allowing fair use logos on userboxes comes from the Wikimedia foundation itself, who want to reduce any chances of being sued for copyright infringement. If you have complaints, you should direct your attention to them, not me. Thanks. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 23:09, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply

Note: I have now unprotected this talk page, and unblocked this user, in the hope that this conflict can be resolved.

To User:Hello Wisconsin; please don't do move vandalism to make a protest; this is not acceptable behavior, and if you do it again, you are likely to be blocked from editing indefinitely. -- The Anome 06:28, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In case you are interested, User:Durin has written a detailed essay on the removal of fair use images outside of the main article space. You may find it at User:Durin/Removal of fair use images. I apologize if you were pissed off by the actions of myself, User:The Anome, or any others. But again, the bottom line is that the Wikimedia Foundation, the owners of Wikipedia, want to err in the side of caution and reduce any potential copyright infringement lawsuit. Best.
