Dublin- Infobox image

I have started a public discussuion on the infobox image here :Talk:Dublin#Infobox_-city_image._Can_we_stick_with_one_image.3F.21 --Trounce (talk) 19:13, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Changing primary image in infobox...perhaps a compromise?

Dublin Custom Daytime.jpg is brighter than Liberty Hall Spire and Custom House.jpg but I don't think its quite as "legible" as Liberty Hall Spire and Custom House.jpg. The composition is also poorer than Liberty Hall Spire and Custom House.jpg. Its, also a very small sized photo: 500 × 281 pixels, file size 86 KB. If you try to see a bigger version, to see some detail you can't. On the positive side its far better than the "dusk" series that recently appeared.--Trounce (talk) 19:29, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you agree with me or no ?

About the O'Connell Bridge, its just like Venise, Amsterdam or Paris (The Seine...) it is beautiful image representing a big European capital, dont you think ? Mysticshade (talk) 08:32, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think there is no reasons of removing the images

no reason for removing the images of the article as many of articles own many images by far than Dublin have. you should take a look to articles as hungary (example), I guess it is considered as vandalism to remove constructive images without sense. I saw from here that it's been exactly two years since you joined the project. Happy WikiBirthday! (and be careful with the images!) rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 04:51, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is Dublin Airport convenient to where you are? If so, would you mind photographing the Ryanair headquarters building and the Aer Lingus headquarters building? Thanks WhisperToMe (talk) 23:01, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimedia Ireland

Hi,

A while back you added your name at Wikimedia Ireland. Well, it took a year (almost to the day) but ten editors have expressed an interest in starting a Wikimedia chapter in Ireland, which meets the criteria for a "critical mass". If you're still interested, I'd would be great if we could kick off discussion. Maybe, a first step might be to introduce ourselves (anonymously) at the chapter talk page with some ideas about what a chapter could do or a sketch of your interest in founding one ... or even just say restate an interest and say 'hello' :-)

You may also be interested in joining the Wikimedia Ireland mailing list, if you are not already on it. --RA (

  • I've re-orphaned this image. Displaying a prior design is of little encyclopedic value unless there is sourced discussion regarding that design. As a result, the image fails
WP:NFCC #1 and #8. Please do not restore this image unless you find secondary sources establishing the encyclopedic value of including this image. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 16:55, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read

the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the

if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. — This, that, and the other (talk) 01:10, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A Wikimeet is proposed for Northern Ireland in the next few months. If you have never been to one, this is an opportunity to meet other Wikipedians in an informal atmosphere for Wiki and non-Wiki related chat and for beer or food if you like. Most take place on a Sunday afternoon in a suitable pub but other days and locations can also work. Experienced and new contributors are all welcome. This event is definitely not restricted just to discussion of Northern Ireland topics. Please add your suggestions for place and date to the discussion page here: Proposed Northern Ireland Wiki Meetup. Philafrenzy (talk) 12:11, 19 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
