I think elaborating on the background of the war is very useful and hands helpful insight to the history of the war. The tone of your writing fits with wikipedias neutral tone. Citations look good but I think you should only add a new number when you are referencing a new source. If you are referencing the same source twice use the same number. My only critique I could see is grammar. Some sentences were oddly phrased and others seemed as if words were omitted. Please re read every sentence and make sure it makes sense. here some examples of difficult to read sentences from the article :

"[*Prior to the civil war, the elites of Northern Sudan were unwavering in their own interpretation of its outbreak. Many of whom attribute such hostilities to be the remnant of the south's colonial grievances against the British while others view the tumultuous time to be their own means of challenging the government[6]. Therefore, these traditional elites did not acknowledge these voiced resentment and rising insurgency to have been attributed to their own governance"

"[*The casualties since the beginning of their independence to the Addis Ababa Agreement resulted in*](*Five hundred thousand people,"

Other than that, great work! 64.62.133.42 (talk) 06:11, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
