Yes, you're right. Suggest you take it to AFD on those grounds. Instawisdom (talk) 16:15, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
I have prodded it, but will go to AfD if the prod gets removed by the creator or by a user who isn't willing to completely change the article as I explained above. —KuyaBriBriTalk 17:19, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

Major Rajasthani

Hello! You recently tagged

. With thanks Tari 06:40, 14 January 2012 (UTC)

Hello Tari. Have a read of WP:Reliable sourcess and Wikipedia:External links/Perennial websites for more info on why Facebook, YouTube and iTunes aren't reliable sources for references. Can you find reliable sources on him in Punjabi? The sources don't have to be in English, they only need to be reliable. Thanks, Instawisdom (talk) 06:45, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, but till now i had searched the whole internet using punjabi and english but no info on him was found, only this song on youtube, witten on him, tell his story in briefe. The theme of the song is : one girlfriend asks his boyfriend that why he was sad today. The bf tells that my beloved brother like singer Major Rajasthani is on more. Then the bf asks who was he, where he was born, married or unmarried, children and the bf reply answering these questions tellling the story in briefe. So how can i add this in english to references bcz they are in a song. Very sad... :-( . Anyway thanks for your time and keep in contact to help me if there any hope. Tari 06:58, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
You're welcome, and I hope some reliable sources can be found, because his music is quite beautiful. Instawisdom (talk) 07:00, 14 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Infoboxes as reasoning for contested deletion

First, we agree in principle: adding an infobox to the talk page of an article slated for speedy deletion does nothing to contest the deletion.

However, while you've been deleting those infoboxes added by Yahzeepunk (talk · contribs), I've been preserving them, but adding a bracketed comment to note that was the extent of the user's comment and the {{unsigned2}} template to show the date and time of the addition. That's probably better, in that it shows that Yahzeepunk tried to say something to contest the deletion.

You'll also note I've left him a message on his talk page asking for more in-depth commentary on why the article should be kept. —C.Fred (talk) 14:09, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Good idea, and thanks for copying me. Instawisdom (talk) 14:10, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Advice asked.

I am trying to write a few wiki's but some of the pages are still up for deletion. I hope someone can help me with this. I try to enter enough references but maybe I am doing something wrong. Hans Willemsen— Preceding unsigned comment added by Hanswillemsen (talkcontribs)

Which page is up for deletion? Hein Mevissen was proposed for deletion, but as I said at your talk page, I've already removed the deletion tag after I added the missing references. Thanks, Instawisdom (talk) 13:52, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

How do I get my draft approved?

Hi there, I recently received a message suggesting that I should have a page I recently published on Wikipedia proofread and checked so as to avoid a conflict of interest. How do I go about this?

Thank you StephenfGraham (talk) 13:59, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

Greetings! I recommend that you use Wikipedia:Articles for creation for this. Do please be careful to observe the guidelines at WP:Conflict of interest, if you're writing about your own company: it's very difficult to write objectively about something with which you're closely involved. Thanks, Instawisdom (talk) 14:12, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

Hello. I'm not an administrator, but administrator User talk:Peridon deleted the original version, so you could ask him to copy the deleted version to a user subpage for you, to allow you to work on it. Thanks, Instawisdom (talk) 10:33, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

Beachgolf

Hi! I'm the author of the article Beachgolf. Could you please tell me exactly where are the problems about advert? Sorry but I am not english, so explain me clearly, you would be grateful. --Lucapremier88 (talk) 20:03, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi, and thanks for your contributions. Here are some examples of promotional language:
  • "Its aim is to eradicate the elements of niche and turn them into engaging mass elements"
  • "Over the years, Beach Golf has challenged these prejudices showing, on the contrary, that is a young sport, dynamic and accessible, as it affects a myriad of Target, it adapts to any situation and allow equal competition between different sexes"
  • "Thanks to Beach Golf, inflexible rules of playing and behavior of traditional golf give way to more fun, easy-going situations while keeping basic principles of golf"
  • "There are no physical barriers such as fences or others and this allows the audience to interact with the game and thus create a unique playground where viewers are interactive as the participants"

Etcetera. The posed photograph of the "caddy girls" also appears to have been lifted straight out of a marketing brochure. Thanks, Instawisdom (talk) 22:02, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

I made changes according to your report, and I completed the citation of sources. Is that better? Do you think the video posted on Youtube Beachgolf competitions, may be cited as the source? Thanks for your help.--Lucapremier88 (talk) 09:53, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

The tone has been improved by your edits, thanks, and I've made some further edits to reduce the promotional tone. But YouTube isn't a reliable source (see
WP:ELPEREN), and reliable sources are needed to establish the game's notability, particularly the claim that the sport is recognized by the Italian National Olympic Committee. Instawisdom (talk

About radio network, I quoted as a source a video interview of President de Marco Mauro, on Radio Kiss Kiss, with the popular radio host Marco Baldini. Newspaper articles and magazines, scanned, are considered valid sources? Not everything can be found on the internet, a lot of material is photographic and journalistic.--Lucapremier88 (talk) 11:19, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

Yes, scanned newspaper articles are fine as a source: brief info on this can be found at WP:Offline sources. Thanks, Instawisdom (talk) 11:24, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

You're welcome! :) But the sections below it need the same sort of editing: it reads a bit like Sports Illustrated... Instawisdom (talk) 08:46, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
