Don't let this notice discourage you. If it were me, I'd try to flesh out more of the content regarding his book, roles at the universities, and run a Google search for him as an author. I saw this, which may have been a doctoral or post-doctoral publication. I think if everything is combined, he's as notable as some people on Wikipedia. Hey, I think you did pretty well. There may be other things pop up on him. Sometimes, people aren't notable for one specific thing and I think he may be one of them. I'd almost argue that he was more notable for his work in regard to the visually impaired. I'll watchlist this and keep on top of any proposals or deletion reviews that might pop up on it. Great job!
