Notability guides

The guides on notability will give you a better idea of what will likely make good articles, I would start

this may help you when thinking about the sourceing. --Nate1481 09:56, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply

Suggestion

My suggestion to you is to include the most notable and sourced information on Randy in the Jack and Jill School article. I would then ask an administrator to "userfy" the article on Randy. This means you would have the article in your userspace, and if and when a media story is done on him you can add it as a reference, and try again to submit the article. The subject hasn't been covered enough in reliable sources, or at least none that have been provided, for it to be kept on Wikipedia. We can add a redirect so someone searching for Randy will be directed to the appropriate section in the school's article. Take care. ChildofMidnight (talk) 21:10, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sources for articles DO NOT have to be available online. Books, for example, can be used as sources. It certainly makes it easier for other users to check sources if they're available online, but if there are substantial stories covering Randy you should add them tot eh article and mention that you've done so in the AfD discussion. You can also add quotes from the articles to the citation itself, so we know exactly what the article says. Focus on the key bits. Cite them the way you cite anything else providing the date, author, page number etc. etc. You can also offer to make them available if you have a scanner or fax or whatever, I suggest doing so at the AfD if your able to do that. I don't know if that helps. Don't panic if it's deleted, nothing is lost forever, and you can have the article "userfied" to work on it. Take care. ChildofMidnight (talk) 07:51, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and as far as the lack of sources because he teaches young ages that aren't covered as much and the coverage is more about the school and the program generally, cest la vie. Such is life. Notability is based on substantial media coverage, it's not necessarily fair or right, but it's how things are done here. ChildofMidnight (talk) 07:55, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

May I suggest that you start a blog for the school somewhere and then link the wikipedia school article to the blog? These articles about children do not belong in wikipedia. jmcw (talk) 23:22, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! May I inquire as to the reason for your revert of my edits to the article? Those edits were done in good faith, to make the article conform with Wikipedia conventions. I have reverted it back to the version prior to your edits, if you feel its unwarranted, we can discuss it. — KvЯt GviЯnЭlБ Speak! 02:33, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thankz a lot Guys!!

Welcome to ARS!

Hi, Jjskarate, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron WikiProject! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles and content that have been nominated for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, ergo fixable, and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles and content to quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again — Welcome!

2019 US Banknote Contest

US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions

here

File permission problem with File:Karate spl moves.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Karate spl moves.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 14:18, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
