Disambiguation link notification for November 4

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2015–16 Valparaiso Crusaders men's basketball team, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Zionsville. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Omittance of college team names

Is there any actual reason why we are to omit college team names from infoboxes beyond other (badly written and formatted) articles that happen do the same? You claim it was for "consistency across the website", but it's not even consistent within the same article. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 07:06, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There's nothing wrong with including college team names within the contents of the articles, but the shorthand of just the college name is what is used across Wikipedia in the infoboxes, and not just for football coaches. We can't exactly fit "University of Michigan Wolverines" in there.
