Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Autoblock #1951592 lifted or expired.

Request handled by: TNXMan

Unblocking administrator: Please check for active autoblocks on this user after accepting the unblock request.

The obvious question is "are you NCRI Informatics"? Typically, you post an unblock request on the original usertalkpage as per the directions, you're then easily unblocked to do a username change. If you're not the same person, then this is more interesting ... (

No, but I suppose that's what NCRI Informatics would say. I'm currently in a building owned by Cancer Research UK, and I notice that http://www.cancerinformatics.org.uk/ncripartners.html lists CRUK as one of its partners. Hence it's a fair bet that "NCRI Informatics" is in this building. If you are still concerned that I'm a sock puppet then please ask User:Icairns for a character reference. I don't see any connection here to NCRI Informatics, so I've lifted the autoblock. If you have any questions, please let me know. TNXMan 14:05, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks very much. Jmc200 (talk) 16:48, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Examples of cross-wiki notice

I saw you had an old edit on simple English wiki, so I left you a welcome there. This way you can see how cross-wiki notice work. Also I thanked you for your last edit. Can you see the notifications? They're at the upper right part of the screen close to your user name.--Alexmar983 (talk) 23:44, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, can see the notifications - thanks! Jmc200 (talk) 02:00, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, I hope I wasn't sounding too "patronizing", I saw that you were not very active when these changes were introduced (crossplatform notification is default since March).--Alexmar983 (talk) 02:31, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No worries - thanks for the support! Jmc200 (talk) 21:07, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Jmc200 - You made a great improvement to the lede. I believe I fixed the "not in citation" error you cited, by checking and fixing the link. The new link does lead to the actual US trademark filing, and the filing states "For: computer programs and software for use in the real-time graphical display of financial market information, portfolios, and the results of real-time analysis of financial market conditions". As such I have removed the "not in citation" ref you added, but am happy to be corrected if my undoing was in error. Nixie9 22:13, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - thanks for fixing the link, and apologies for the delay replying. However, I'm still not sure that the citation supports the claim. "The term 'heat map' was originally coined and trademarked by software designer Cormac Kinney in 1991, to describe a 2D display depicting financial market information" - the best I can find in the citation is that "heat map" was trademarked by Neovision Hypersystems in 1998. Perhaps the sentence should be changed accordingly. Jmc200 (talk) 09:50, 20 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
