A summary of important site policies and guidelines

  • use Wikipedia to promote anything about yourself
    .
  • Noone owns any article here
    , or even their edits to articles. At the top of the edit page, it says "Work submitted to Wikipedia can be edited, used, and redistributed—by anyone," which means that if you don't want someone to change or even remove what you add, then you need to use another site.
  • "Truth" is not the only criteria for inclusion, verifiability is also required
    .
  • Always cite a source for any new information
    . When adding this information to articles, use <ref>reference tags like this</ref>, containing the name of the source, the author, page number, publisher or web address (if applicable).
  • we're not here to promote any ideology
    .
  • Primary sources are usually avoided to prevent original research. Secondary or tertiary sources are preferred for this reason as well
    .
  • A subject is considered notable if it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject
    .
  • Reliable sources typically include
    : articles from magazines or newspapers (particularly scholarly journals), or books by recognized authors (basically, books by respected publishers). Online versions of these are usually accepted, provided they're held to the same standards. User generated sources (like Wikipedia) are to be avoided. Self-published sources should be avoided except for information by and about the subject that is not self-serving (for example, citing a company's website to establish something like year of establishment).
  • Articles are to be written from a neutral point of view
    . Wikipedia is not concerned with facts or opinions, it just summarizes reliable sources. Real scholarship actually does not say what understanding of the world is "true," but only with what there is evidence for.
  • Material must be proportionate to what is found in the source cited
    . If a source makes a small claim and presents two larger counter claims, the material it supports should present one claim and two counter claims instead of presenting the one claim as extremely large while excluding or downplaying the counter claims.

Hello GrammarFascist,
This is the text I wrote based on the company profile and press:
Wikipedia Page
W Motors was established back in 2012 as the first automotive manufacturer of high performance luxury sports cars based in the Middle East.
Later next year, the Lykan HyperSport was revealed and since early it was understood as the most luxurious and technological advanced hypercar of his time. It was showcased around the world in private events and auto-shows in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Monaco, China and North America and featured in the blockbuster Furious 7. With plans for expansion, W Motors has already established a trustworthy distribution network around the world and has plans to introduce W Motors Concept Boutiques in Miami, Shanghai, Singapore and Dubai by 2016.
Company
It was in 2007 that Ralph R. Debbas had the idea to start an automotive company, but it was only on the 11th of July of 2012 in Beirut, Lebanon that the company was officially established and revealed to the public as the first Arab manufacturer of luxury sports cars.
Still in 2012 the automotive company decided that would be better to move their headquarters to Dubai due to the instability felt at the time in Lebanon. After moving the headquarters, the company launched their first prototype, The Lykan HyperSport, at the Qatar Motor Show.
In April 2014 the company presented the final production model of the Lykan SuperSports at the renowned Top Marques Monaco.
Since then the company has established exclusive distribution agreements around the world with respected local dealers for Europe, Asia and Americas.
In 2015 it is expected to present a new high performance sports car, the SuperSport.
Sources tell the company has a bright future ahead with a significant pipeline of new cars to come in the following years, along with plans to build a supercar factory in the region, fulfilling the commitment of bringing the automotive manufacturing industry to Dubai
The Cars
Until September 2015 the company has offered only the Lykan HyperSport model, but it is expected to present the SuperSport model later this year. Rumours of an SUV model have also come up in the internet for the past few months.
2012 - Lykan HyperSport
2015 – SuperSport
Auto Shows and events
The company has attended a total of eight auto and boat shows throughout the world:
January 2013 – Qatar International Motor Show
February 2013 – Dubai International Boat Show
November 2013 – Dubai International Motor Show
April 2014 – Top Marques Monaco
March 2015 – Dubai International Motor Show
April 2015 – Shanghai International Motor Show
August 2015 – Pebble Beach California
Media Exposure
Besides being featured in hundreds of print magazines, the cars from W Motors have had a prominent role in several video games and movies.
Movies
W Motors and the Lykan HyperSport have had their first debut on the big screen with the blockbuster Furious 7, from the Fast & Furious franchise.
In the story, the car belonged to a billionaire prince that lived in a skyscraper in Abu Dhabi and kept the car in a safe as a work of art.
W Motors created 7 replicas of the Lykan HyperSport to be used in the set of the movie with most of them being destroyed during the tapping.
The car was featured on the official poster and shown at the press event in Beijing.
Video Games
The Lykan HyperSport has been featured in more than 10 different video games over most of the gaming platforms. The games where the car shows up include:
- Asphalt 8 Airborne (Gameloft, 2013);
- GTRacing 2 (Gameloft, 2014);
- Drive Club (SCEA, 2014);
- Project Cars (Bandai Namco Games, 2015)
- Asphalt Overdrive (Gameloft, 2015);
- Forza 6 (Microsoft, 2015).

Commercials
The Lykan HyperSport has already been featured in several commercials for Apple and Samsung as one of the playable cars in their video-games.

Also, tell me about any pictures that you need to ilustrate the article and I'll get them uploaded and post here the link and feel free to merge the Lykan HyperSport page with this one. JohnWMotors (talk) 08:06, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for all that information, JohnWMotors. I will get to work on the article later today (I'm on U.S. eastern time, so it's Thursday morning for me) or tomorrow. Please note that I will probably work on the article in several phases, so not all of the changes will happen at once. Also note that I will probably not include any information that I cannot cite to a reliable source, and that W Motors's own website or press releases are only reliable for such things as company mission statements or the identity of a CEO, not for things like sales numbers or achievements.
Regarding images for use in the article, any image used on Wikipedia must be either in the public domain (e.g. photos taken over 100 years ago) or released under a Creative Commons license. A CC license means that the image is free for anyone to use for any purpose — it can't be a matter of the photo's owner giving special permission for Wikipedia to use the image. Your marketing and/or legal departments may be willing to release some images under the correct type of license, but it's possible that thay won't, since it would mean people could use the photo(s) in ways W Motors wouldn't like. I'll get back to you on what kinds of minages I think would improve the article.
Also, I moved your response to me to just below my previous message, which is standard for Talk pages, and used colons : to

Well, I think I've made a decent start on the page, though obviously it's still bare-bones in a few places. If your legal and marketing departments can agree to release a few images under a Creative Commons license as I explained about above, I think that, spoecifically, two good images to illustrate the Wikipedia article would be one photo each of the Lykan HyperSport and the Lykan SuperSport, taken from the same angle, to better illustrate the differences in design between the two models. If there are prototype images available for any of the other models in development, one of each of those would also be good. It's best not to clutter up Wikipedia articles with too many images, but I think two to five would be appropriate here... if, again, W Motors is willing to designate a few photos as being free for anyone to use.
If you have any specific feedback about the article, don't be shy about saying it. Nobody's perfect, least of all me. If we disagree about article content, we'll talk it out until we reach

You're quite right that there were some images already on Commons that could be used in the article, and I have placed two of them. I do still think that a photo of a Lykan SuperSport would be good to have, and that having one photo each of the HyperSport and SuperSport, taken from the same angle, would be helpful to readers of the article. I understand that there are technical (and legal) considerations with W Motors making such photos available itself, though.

(On another note I have asked for assistance from another editor in modifying the section of the W Motors article specifically about the Lykan Hypersport, as I am not well-versed enough in auto specifications to know which ones should be included there versus being included on the HyperSport's separate article. Feel free to offer any suggestions.) —

Hello, Materialscientist I don't really know how to do that, if you can please use the following sources: This one says that the designers are Lebanese (Not Syrian, since Anthony is french and the reference is on the page already and the other designer is Ralph Debbas, the founder who is Lebanese): http://www.businessnews.com.lb/cms/Story/StoryDetails.aspx?ItemID=2657

And this one is about the Expansion to the US:

Overall you can see the W Motors Wikipedia page and confirm this.
