File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Powers Theater Ceiling.jpg

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Powers Theater Ceiling.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the

copyright tags
may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 03:33, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Adolf Miethe, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://camera-wiki.org/wiki/Dr._Adolf_Miethe.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

Dinkelsbühl: World War damage

"The World Wars

Remarkably, Dinkelsbühl remained totally unscathed, except for a broken window in St. George's Minster."

Hi Jonahman10,

What is the source of information about the broken window? I was born in Dinkelsbühl and I have never heard of that before. Thanks, Martin. 77.4.235.69 (talk) 20:24, 5 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting, I heard this first when I was visiting the town several years ago. I have found several sources for this statement, though it does not to be as commonly stated as other features of the church. It is possible it is something that the tourguides just like to tell tourists. However, I can't seem to find a link from a source of Wikipedia's quality standards stating this. In one of the links following it shows the section that was supposedly damaged by the Cannonball. It does like it could be due to other sources such as deterioration due to time. I will post the "[citation needed]" tag there to see if anybody can find more reliable sources. If you believe this is utterly false please remove the entire statement from the page. Thank you very much for seeing this. http://www.flickr.com/photos/moorepix4u2c/8078534551/ http://gibphotos.smugmug.com/Travel/Bavaria-Austria-2005/Dinkelsbuhl/799972_DdS6j/6/35591794_9oYQk#!i=35591794&k=2kxBCTz Jonahman10 (talk) 22:38, 5 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Jonahman10, thank you for your answer. As you wrote a tourguide is not a reliable source of information to be used for WP. Would be good if you found more about this. Unfortunately I am not living in this beautiful town any more, so it is not easy for me to find more information. But I will keep eyes and ears open. By the way: Your picture on flickr shows the interior of St. George's Minster (catholic), the total view shows St. Paul's chuch (protestant). Hope we stay in touch. 93.133.185.215 (talk) 10:00, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Carl Nielsen

Hi Jonahman10. You recently offered to help out with Carl Nielsen. In the meantime, we've worked quite a bit on the article but there may still be gaps. You can either work on the article itself or perhaps even better you could let us know on the article's talk page what kind of further improvements you would like to see. If by any chance you live in Denmark, you will probably come across additional information in connection with the Nielsen anniversary. Please let me know if there is anything of special interest.--Ipigott (talk) 09:51, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

2019 US Banknote Contest

US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions
