I wanted to let you know that I just tagged China at the 2018 Winter Olympics for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

As with the China discussion above, there's no reason for a standalone article about this yet. We don't start creating articles about any individual country's participation in a future Olympics until we can write and source substantive content about the subject (e.g. specific athletes actually qualifying for the team, etc.) — if all you can write and source at the present time is the simple fact that the country plans to participate, then the article shouldn't actually exist yet.
