Hey, no worries. I should note that just because someone says not to do something doesn't necessarily mean it's something you shouldn't do, it might be worthwhile to test the waters on something like that. However, for future reference, reading the article and checking the sources for verifiability is usually a good first step to determining whether something should be deleted. If you come upon an article with no sources and hard to verify information, it might be a candidate for the

circular file. Further, someone not notable (such as the random guy who appears in an audience in a Glee episode like Original Song) is definitely removable - perhaps by speedy. So it's a learning process, and you've taken the first step in that process by nominating something and seeing your opinion disagreed with.
