Don't worry about it at all. Legally acceptable pictures of football players are pretty hard to come by, and I've come to think that they're not such a big deal anyway. I'm not sure I can be of much help - this was just a prediction, and I didn't do much to monitor it. I have the vague sense that there is an ever-nastier battle for power going on, by some elements deeply hostile to Wikipedia's mission - see the present conversation on User talk:Jimbo Wales for a taste of that - but who they are or what their perspective really is, I couldn't guess.

You should of course be following the progress of CISPA, which apparently is being used for similar backdoor censorship tactics. Whether Wikipedia will be on board for that at all, not at all clear - I'd been hoping one of the insiders would have started organizing opposition by now, but I haven't heard of that. As a bona-fide lawyer, he had an interesting legal perspective. The opposition to politicization statement of User:Scott_MacDonald is extremely good reading.
