My (HereToHelp’s) RfA

Thank you for supporting my RfA. I’m proud to inform you that it passed with 75 support to 1 oppose to 2 neutral. I promise to make some great edits in the future (with edit summaries!) and use these powers to do all that I can to help. After all, that’s what I’m here for! (You didn’t think I could send a thank you note without a bad joke, could I?) --HereToHelp 13:03, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA

Hi Linuxerist. Just a quick note to thank you for your support in my RfA, which recently passed 62/13/6. Thank you also for the new shark image that you created, it looks great. I will do my very best live up to this new responsibility and to serve the community, but please let me know if I make any mistakes or if you have any feedback at all on my actions. Finally, if there is anything that I can assist you with - please don't hesitate to ask. Cheers TigerShark 03:45, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Hello Linuxerist. Thanks for your greeting on my discussion page. When you check my contributions, you'll find I'm only adding Interwikis to German. I'm user in the German WP (admin in fact), and my english ist too bad to contribute anything else than interwikis. Regards --80.108.59.151 17:32, 11 April 2006 (UTC) (de:Benutzer:Bradypus)[reply]

Welcome to Esperanza!

Welcome, Linuxerist, to

Charter
, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the

calendar
of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at

Esperanza/Possibles
.

I encourage you to take an active voice in the running of Esperanza. We have a small government system, headed by our Administrator general,

FireFox and Titoxd
. The next set of elections will be in April, we will keep you updated about the results. Because you are a new member, you are not able to vote in these elections, but you will be more than welcome to take part in the elections in June.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Celestianpower by

IRC Tutorial
written by one of our members. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

Old Skool Esperanzial note

Since this isn't the result of an AC meeting, I have decided to go Old Skool. This note is to remind you that the elections are taking place now and will end at 23:50 UTC on 2006-04-29. Please vote here. Thanks. --Celestianpower háblame 20:42, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The term old-school applies to anything retro, vintage, or classic. Espranzially yours, --Celestianpower háblame 17:11, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for supporting me in the AC elections. ILovEPlankton 02:45, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, ok. Sorry for being unclear, but I was somewhat intoxinated at that oment, so it might have been unclear what I've ment. vidarlo 08:13, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe. It does no harm, and it will be listed in changes, so you won't save any space by including it. However, it _might_ confuse some that doe snot know that SVG is a xml format, and migth create extra work for those. vidarlo 10:23, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I'm almost at that level;) My knowledge of svg has been aquired via mailing lists. Though I've never managed to understand inkscape, so I'm mostly using png, as I'm somewhat flutent with gimp. vidarlo 10:55, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hehe, yeah, I know that one. I opened a xpm in the superior Editor a lot of years ago, and discovered it was text... I've gotta learn inkscape or similar some day, but time is a limiting factor right now. There for I fall for the temption that any illustration is better than no illustration, and ignore vector-formats for as long as possible vidarlo 11:12, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Thanks!

Thanks for posting onto my 1000 edits talk page! Jared W!!! | Write to me, why don't you? 11:02, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copyedit review?

Hi Linuxerist, you reviewed an article I did a major rewrite of (Standard Widget Toolkit) and took the time to correct me on some spelling mistakes, so could I ask a favour of you? Could you do a spelling and grammar check on Executable UML? I would really appreciate it, but obviously there's no obligation there. GeorgeBills 18:42, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
