Fond Farewell

I was sad to learn this morning that a playful spirit who I had briefly known had flickered out. I have been struggling with my own health battle throughout the last year and I have lost track of a lot of the things that used to drive me. In areas such as game art, ludology, and Wikipedia I have let my attentions lapse and it came as rather a surprise to me that Bernie had passed away nearly a year ago. I'm very glad that we were able to connect and work together to improve coverage to expand Wikipedia while you were here to help me. In re-reading the archived conversations between us I hope I didn't come off as overly pedantic. Thank you for all of your helpful and valuable suggestions! I was quite dismayed to discover the news today, but the legacy you leave is great. Perhaps when speaking of the Cheshire Cat, Alice could bear a little paraphrasing as she (nearly) remarked: It's often enough that I've seen a cat without a grin but it is rare indeed when I see a grin without a cat. Your playful spirit will persist long long after your earthly form has been released into the aether. Major Fun, I salute you! -Thibbs (talk) 03:43, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
