The title Carinthia (province) definitely gives a false impression not worthy of WIKIPEDIA.
A province is defined as an administrative division, which Koroška is not.
In the text Koroška is described as an "informal province" , which is a contradiction in terms.
I should really be interested in learning how an "administrative unit" can function "informally".
Slovenia is not divided into provinces . Certain areas have names, there were for instance the 3 old historic regions Kranjska, Primorska, Prekmurje, to which were added in 1918 the Slovene-speaking territory of the former Austrian duchy of Styria as the Slovene region "Štaierska", and the small purely Slovene-speaking areas of the Duchy of Carinthia.
For statistical EU purposes 12 Slovene areas have been nominated as statistical regions on NUTS 3 level*) to EUROSTAT. The statistical region No. 4 now bears the misleading name "Koroška", because it now comprises a number of municipalities and townships that were part of Austrian Styria, not of Carinthia (Slovenj Gradec, Radlje, Mislinja, Vuzenica, Podvelka, Ribnica na Pohorju).
Since Koroška is not a province and is, of course, not an "informal province" either, I ask for a move back to the previous title of the entry. I should prefer not to list Koroška under the name of "Carinthia" at all, because newly emerging states ought to make their own names popular in the world!
*) NUTS = Nomenclature des unités territoriales statistiques; level 3: areas comprising 150,000 - 800,000 people. Marschner (talk) 08:38, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

When adding refs to History of Slovenia, you removed a large part of the content. While this was probably accidental, I nevertheless had to revert your edit. Regards, Jalen (talk) 20:26, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
All you need do to convince me is to demonstrate that it now normally goes by the name of Koroška in English. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 16:24, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for January 13
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited George (surname), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages David George, Alexander George and Bill George (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
