Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to A Muskrat Lullaby. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. 69.181.249.92 (talk) 21:08, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
Edward Barnes
I suggest you use the following when writing about the composer; [[Edward Barnes (composer)|Edward Barnes]] which will link directly to his article while still appearing as Edward Barnes. Cheers! 69.181.249.92 (talk) 21:43, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
Some important issues you need to address
Hello MartyEdwards, and welcome to Wikipedia. While new contribtions are appreciated, there are some serious problems that you need to address.
- You cannot copy verbatim from copyright sources as you did in A Place to Call Home (opera), The Vagabond Queen, Mystery on the Docks, A Muskrat Lullaby and The Old Man Who Loved Cheese (opera). All of the synopses were copied from the relevant pages at www.familyaudienceopera.com. I rewrote the first one, the remaining ones have been removed. Please see the talk pages of each of these articles for more information about this issue, and please take it on board. Editors who persistently infringe copyright can end up blocked. See also: WikiProject Opera: Copyright guidelines, especially the FAQ section.
- All of these articles lack reliable sources which are independent of the subject, and several of them are of very dubious notability. Please read: WP:Reliable sources, WP:Notability, and WP:Verifiability and address this issue as soon as possible.
- Wikipedia is an encylopedia not a web space provider for Family Audience Opera. If you have any connection whatsoever (personal or professional) with that organization or Edward Barnes you need to read WP:Conflict of interest and scrupulously follow the guidelines there.
I notice that Family Audience Opera has many more operas on their site. Please refrain from creating any further articles on them or on the organization itself until you have addressed the problems with the articles you have already created. If you need help don't hesitate to drop by WikiProject Opera where you can get advice from editors with lots of experience in writing on this area for Wikipedia.
