Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Primerica. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Hello. Have you read the talk side of this page? I merely recognized the points made by so many. Such as the fact that MLM was listed as industry. MLM is in fact not an industry. Correcting this error seemed like a minor edit to me. Maxpower2754 (talk) 05:29, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
For clarity, could you please tell me what promotional material i added to the primerica page? Maxpower2754 (talk) 05:29, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you are familiar with the article's talk page, hopefully you already know where to discuss specific issues with the page. You must have also noticed that this is a contested issues, which means it is not a minor edit. Whether or not it seemed like a minor edit to you is irrelevant. Per below, a "minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute.
Since multi-level marketing generates revenue (typically far more revenue than the other 'products' sold via the model) it can be described as the main industry for such companies. Having it listed as an industry in the infobox is the norm for many articles on MLM companies, and in general infoboxes should be consistent across articles.
Further, your description of your own edits is not accurate. You did not merely remove MLM from the infobox, you removed it from the lead of the article completely.
Based on those past discussions on the article's talk page, I would strongly suggest you carefully review Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. You may also find Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide helpful. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 19:16, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Maxpower2754! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 05:17, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
