Hello MelchiorG, welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed the new article you created
Since you are a new editor I want to welcome you to the project and let you know about some things you might be interested in. First of all there is Wikipedia's Mathematics project Wikipedia:WikiProject Mathematics for which the central discussion point is located here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Mathematics. Please feel free to join in on any of the discussions there, or start your own. The atmosphere is quite collegial and friendly. You might also be interested in adding your name here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Mathematics/Participants. Also as you have already discovered, the Mathematics project has a subproject of its own: Wikipedia:WikiProject Mathematics/PlanetMath Exchange. That project has been a bit moribund for awhile, but if you want to help there your contributions will be appreciated and you may even inspire me to start contributing there again ;-)
Finally if you have any questions, I'm happy to help. Regards, Paul August ☎ 16:25, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
Style issues
Hello. Please notice my edits to two of the articles you've recently created. I've brought them closer to the norms of
Also, "Let g be a Lie algebra over a field K." is an inappropriate opening sentence; it fails to tell the lay reader, among other things, that mathematics is what the article is about. Michael Hardy (talk) 16:41, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
Agreed, thanks for helping out. MelchiorG (talk) 15:04, 17 December 2020 (UTC)

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. DGG ( talk ) 20:48, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
Answer: I don't remember having written the article. Maybe somebody (the author?) has hacked my account at that time. I have since changed the password and not noticed further strange activities. I agree that the article does not have a relevance section and not even a description of the book's content. It is thus not a good contribution to the wikipedia and I agree to its deletion. There is a similar suspicious article: Atheism:_The_Case_Against_God which I haven't created. Please feel free to delete that as well as it also has no summary and only one reference to a review. MelchiorG (talk) 22:29, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
Index of a Lie algebra moved to draftspace
An article you recently created,
It looks as if somebody has extended a bit on the article. In its current state it has at least 2 references. So I believe that leaving it in the public space with a state somewhere between stub and starter article is plausible. MelchiorG (talk) 15:02, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
