WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request

This is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 21:50, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your chess games

Hello Michael,

I know you asked for no comments about your chess games, but I'm afraid my curiosity has got the better of me! In your game vs. Conni, white's g2 pawn seems to disappear without trace between moves two and three. I assume this is a mistake, unless you're playing some very strange version of chess indeed?

Replaceable fair use Image:Stand_Up!!_school_comparison.jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Stand_Up!!_school_comparison.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to
    di-replaceable fair use disputed
}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before

13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 13:04, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply

Magazine project

Hi. I don't know if you're still active, but you listed on the Magazine Wikiproject that you had the June 1992 issue of Play Time, a German game magazine. I'm currently working on the Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss article, trying to get it to Featured status, and I'm looking to include reviews from non-English sources. The magazine gave it "Game of the Month", so I assume there was a write-up about it. If you have the time, it would be really great if you could find me the following information about it:

  • The author's name.
  • The issue number.
  • The page numbers for the write-up.
  • If possible, a scan of the write-up.
  • The title of the write-up, in the original German.

The article as of right now probably doesn't have a wide enough range of reviews to pass FAC, so if you could do this, I would be eternally grateful. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 05:00, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you have revised either

Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire
.

I intend to revise those articles following the

Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Article guidelines
. There are more details on the discussion pages of those articles. I'd be interested in any comments you have. It would be best if your comments were on the discussion pages of the two articles.

Thank you.

Non-free rationale for File:Stand Up!! Doutei Boys.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to

non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale
.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 23:54, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reference Library request

Hello, I noticed that you had listed your name as a contact for the German Play Time magazine, and I was wondering if I could get some information from you regarding the Game Boy version of the game, Gauntlet II as it appears in the June 1992 issue of Play Time. If possible could you please make me a scan, or provide the text or a summary, or anything else. Thanks in advance, -Thibbs (talk) 17:06, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to bug you again, but if you have it available, can you tell me the page number of this article and the name of the article's author or the editor in chief? Thanks again! -Thibbs (talk) 19:36, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link fixing one-day contest

I have decided to put on a mini-contest within the

WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the Daily Disambig, we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed. If everyone in the disambiguation link fixers category were to fix 500 links, we would have them all done - so aim high! Cheers! bd2412 T 03:09, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply
