Dubtronica, the article you have found

As I see you have written a lot of articles on reggae, could you please fix errors in dubtronica article and source it properly, on the base of that fine article you have found? Or you think that it should better be merged into dub? If it is better to merge it, then I will try to do it. -- Appletangerine un (talk) 14:37, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've done what I can with it. We'll just have to wait and see how the AFD turns out now.--Michig (talk) 11:20, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Cutting Moments" of researching shame, apparently...

Hello--

I wanted to give a thanks for trying your best to dig up more sources for

No, the sources that I found are not enough to justify keeping it. There's always a chance that someone will come up with a source or two in the last few days of the AFD, but if it runs the 7 days with no further input it would seem a bit pointless relisting it. I'll change my !vote to Delete in the absence of any other input.--Michig (talk) 07:57, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fraudley

Michig, sources for "A-Farce" added here. Let me know if you are happy with them and I will get onto the next then.--Vintagekits (talk) 21:19, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Declined PROD on this article. Can you take a look at it and AfD it if I was being too cautious? Thanks. Jclemens (talk) 23:12, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I found enough to suggest notability - I'll add what I found to the article's talk page for now. Cheers. --Michig (talk) 07:22, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Boxers nicknames again

You were recently involved in a discussion with regards boxers nicknames. There is a continuation of that discussion with specific reference to Audley Harrison on the BLP page here. Please feel free to add your opinion there once more. Regards. Vintagekits (talk) 10:18, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sources?

Hi. I see you reverting me, asserting that you're correct, etc etc. Fine. Got sources? Note that editors' opinions don't mean anything.

See the sources cited in the article. This list is for the 'original' post punk bands. Feel free to start another list for later bands influenced by these earlier post-punk bands.--Michig (talk) 11:17, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you so much for the citations.Seriously.
  • All of this seems to comes from one single book... the topic of whether you're gonna call one guy the absolute authority is something that probably should be discussed in a relevant wikiproject talk page or something... but I'm not arguing, though, because it isn't worth the trouble.
  • So... importantly ... rather than naming the article "List of post-punk bands" then putting the years in the header, you should get an admin to move the article to a name that includes the years. The lede should mention post-punk revival, including wikilinks. Everything everywhere should be cited.
  • Sorry for the trouble!

It doesn't need an admin to move it. If a list of post-punk revival bands existed, we would need to rename it to avoid confusion. The list used to have a separate section for the revival bands (see here) - I'm not sure why it was removed. That would be a better location for listing P.K.14.--Michig (talk) 11:41, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

Hi Michig, just wanted to say thanks for adding sources to Cult Maniax. PhilKnight (talk) 20:05, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Glad I could help.--Michig (talk) 20:33, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New Boyz Prod

Hi! Just to let you know, the user who created that page moved the discography from the New Boyz page. I moved it back and put the prod on the page you just un-prodded. The info is already there - a merge would be duplication.

The catalog of the artist is not large enough to warrant a separate page - yet.

ETA: I read the "merge" section - it does apply. I tagged the article. Thanks.

Regards. --Manway (talk) 22:31, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm trying to add a photo to this entry but have forgotten where I got to with it - please help! As far as I recall, I've sent the required e-mail to Wikimedia(?) on behalf of the copyright holder stating what level of copyright it is. Can't remember what e-mail address I sent to now but I don't think I've received a reply. How can I see where this has got to or if I need to nudge someone? Johnalexwood (talk) 17:42, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

To be honest, I'm not sure. Is the copyright holder releasing the photo under a 'free' licence? People often try to add copyrighted images 'for Wikipedia use only' and these will get deleted as for people and groups where a free image 'could' be produced, non-free images are not permitted. --Michig (talk) 18:05, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure I've done it right but I wanted to know how to find out whether I have the OK to add the photo or not. Johnalexwood (talk) 18:58, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you raise it at Wikipedia:Media_copyright_questions someone there should be able to point you in the right direction. Sorry I couldn't be more help - not being an admin, I'm not totally clear how these areas work.--Michig (talk) 19:28, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, no probs - thanks will do that Johnalexwood (talk) 19:32, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
