I think you've already done some strong and helpful work to strengthen this page. The page as it was had an overview section that went too quickly from broad to specific, and at times I was unsure if it was still fully relating to the topic at hand. The history section is dense and exhaustive, and it definitely needed a reorganization to make the information more accessible. Additionally, I think the history section needed more streamlining in general, as in moments I felt it was getting away from the topic at hand (participatory democracy) toward explanations of variants. Also, the variants section called representative democracy a variant while the overview section said that participatory democracy was an alternative to representative democracy.

The work you've done helps address a lot of these issues. Your new overview section is much more direct and keeps an introductory feel squarely on the topic of the page. I do think that perhaps the last paragraph on representative democracy in the overview is too specific for that part of the page, but I do think it's good and interesting. Your new subdivision and additions to the history section are quite helpful and make sense of the information in a positive, streamlined way. Your work on variants is still in progress but I think it will help flesh out that section more. It seemed like an incomplete section in the original article. Also, your addition of strengths and weaknesses is helpful and allows the page to leave the realm of the solely descriptive and enter the theoretical realm with an assured foot forward. This is great work Nolanjc97 (talk) 22:26, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
