Do you have a general reference for the equipment section? I've been searching all over for information on her equipment, and I've haven't found a lot. CloudNine 17:14, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, it's good! I've changed the section title to "Instrumentation" and made it a subsection of "Musical style" (I plan to write that section soon), to be consistent with
Pixies etc. I'll reference it once you've finished; I can sort out the {{cite web}}s. CloudNine 11:54, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply

Yeah, I'm planning to write a Musical style section (with sections like
Frank Black). Anyway, it's not a big dealĀ :) Your choice! CloudNine 10:06, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply

Kim and Kelley's photos

Can you tell me how you know which photo is of Kim, and which of Kelley? Because the photographer clearly labeled them as Kim Deal and Kelley Deal. If I can be sure, I think at least one of those photos should be used, (on the correct article however)! --Leahtwosaints (talk) 15:17, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Before switching photos...

Hey. First let me say, that since finally registering to edit the Wikipedia, for the past few years I've uploaded -and placed well over 300 photos through Wikimedia Commons to the en.wiki, pt.wiki, and sp.wiki. (A 'short' list is on my user page of those I've placed of musicians- being in the musicians' and biography work groups.) I've learned to listen to both my gut instinct and to the photographers themselves, particularly those who are pro-photographers. I emailed the photographer regarding the Kelley and Kim Deal photos. Here is his response:

I can assure you that the photos are well appointed, Kim is this:[1] And Kelley is this: [2] Do not understand why anyone could think otherwise ... I was really surprised by your message... I take [took- translation from Spanish, sorry!] a look at the Wikipedia articles as they are (not my photos) and I think I've found the problem, the girl in this picture is not kim ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_Deal ) is kelley!... Kim and Kelley Deal are twin sisters and are quite similar, but Kim is thinner than kelley .... I understand your need to be sure With the photos ... I photographed the Deal sisters in the summer of 2008 at a festival in Madrid, Summercase, exactly on 18 July in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid)... Tell me if this strange mystery clears Leah, my photos are at your disposal if you want ...
So. It appears there's a problem here, because it's far easier for me to believe a photographer who was there with access to both women than another editor. If we were to change photos --and someone close to the Deal sisters or they themselves found the photos to be wrong it would be a terrible reflection on the Wikipedia. At this point I wonder if the existing photos should be removed as well. ARE YOU sure? I dislike running the edge of the WP "Original research" clause, but perhaps it would be worthwhile to contact their publicists.--Leahtwosaints (talk) 14:00, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Whatever. I just wanted to make sure, since this man spent time with the two. One last thing- and please take it to heart. When you revert anything so large as this, it is common courtesy to contact the other editor and explain the reason, whether they are experienced editors or new ones.--Leahtwosaints (talk) 22:42, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're very welcome

RE: Stone Rollin'

It's not in the track listing, while the previous mention of the hidden track in the article body does not note that it "follows silence at the end of 'The Answer'." I was prepping the article for Good article nomination, so something unsourced would not meet with GA criteria.

Latvian help needed

Hello Morefun, I'm contacting you because we need some Latvian translators to help with the deployment of the new VisualEditor on lv.wikipedia. There are help pages, user guides, and description pages that need translating, as well as the interface itself. The translating work is going on over on MediaWiki: Translation Central. I also need help with a personal message for the Latvian Wikipedians. If you are able to help in any way, either reply here, or head over to TranslationCentral. Thanks for your time, PEarley (WMF) (talk) 18:21, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
