Hi - a stub template or category which you created has been nominated for deletion or renaming at
Muro Bot
Hi. I thought you might like to know about a strange edit your bot made today: [1]. The only change it should have made was updating the target page name from "FIFA series" to "FIFA (series)". Cheers,
- Hi. I've blocked the bot as it appears there has been no request for approval (see Wikipedia:Bot policy). Please ask someone to unblock the bot when the request is made and a trial has been approved. -- zzuuzz (talk) 17:16, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
Your bot request
Hi Muro de Aguas I wanted to let you know that Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/Muro Bot is labeled as needing your comment. Please visit the above link to reply to the requests. Thanks! --BAGBotTalk 13:50, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Request to unblock in Spain
I herewith still have to urgently ask for unblocking my User(talk) account on your Wikipedia de España and replace that National poem again, which I quoted. You are very misinformed by mr. Robotje, who does not have a sense of the meaning of that Publicly stated Anthem with no "copyvios" at all. In the Netherlands it is on wiki as usual. Meanwhile with kind regards: D.A. Borgdorff by 86.83.155.44 (talk) 14:54, 23 June 2008 (UTC) PS: I really hope You to respond here or in Spain as soon as possible before taking further steps. With high esteem I am faithfully yours: D.A. Borgdorff = dAb = 86.83.155.44 (talk) 16:34, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Because you don't in time react here nor in Spain to lift my block, I requested for further action in handling my case with sincerely regards: D.A.Borgdorff by 86.83.155.44 (talk) 11:54, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- I further responded on your talk-page in Spain with thanks. Truly yours: dAb = 86.83.155.44 (talk) 00:24, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on
If you can fix this redirect to point to an existing Wikipedia page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you also fix the redirect. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ulster Defence Regiment
Hi, your bot made a Spanish language addition to Ulster Defence Regiment which for some strange reason isn't visible on the page. I'm afraid I don't know how to change anything to make it so. Perhaps you'd like to examine it yourself? The Thunderer (talk) 16:18, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Bot request at bn
Unfortunately, your user page seems to be sprotected in es, so I can't send you the message there. So, rather I'll post the message here and also at your Bot's page:
Please register your bot at bn:WP:BOT. No unregistered bots may be run here without a bot flag. Please go to bn:WP:BOT and get the bot flag approved before running the bot. Thank you. --Ragib (talk) 22:20, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Double redirects no longer need to be fixed
The latest version of MediaWiki finally handles them with no problem. "Fixing" some of these is undesirable in some cases, such as where the first target page is a "redirect with possibilities" — that is, where it is intended that there will be an article there in the future, and the redirect is just a placeholder until then. –radiojon (talk) 20:29, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
- I think that was a bug rather than a feature. -- User:Docu 09:35, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
WP:CHECKWIKI
You probably already noticed, there are now separate lists by check number on the toolserver. The list for check #3 (Reference tag <references /> missing) is at
and it's updated on a daily basis. It generates about 5-10 new entries per day.
I was wondering if you were still processing these occasionally as per Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/Muro Bot 4. If yes, with which frequency are you doing this? -- User:Docu 10:35, 15 April 2009
<from User talk Docu>
- Yes, I know about the lists — I was the person who asked Stefan Kühn to make the lists of all errors. The articles have now the template.
- I've been on holidays and I couldn't run the script. Besides, there are too many pages without <references />, so they can be fixed quickly; when I asked for that task there were about 2,000 pages. Regards, Muro de Aguas (write me) 16:24, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
</from User talk Docu>
- Currently we are working on several lists on a daily basis. If you do that list by bot, I suppose we could skip it and leave it to be done a weekly/bi-weekly basis. Some would probably get fixed through some other venue anyways. -- User:Docu
Apparent Muro Bot problem
I stumbled across what looks like a pretty old Muro Bot problem here. -- Boracay Bill (talk) 06:07, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
- It's not a bot issue: the target page was redirected at some point. -- User:Docu
Translation Popups
I'm glad you like the tool. I use it to try to improve my intermediate French and Spanish.
On your Spanish talk page I notified you about a nonfatal error that the script change has brought up. The error doesn't do anything bad and can be lived with, but if you want to revert back to the first version that grabs my script file you can go ahead.
I have a nonWikipedia version of the tool. It is a type of proxy. It grabs the webpage you type into an input form (or click on in my 'reference portal'), changes all the links in the webpage to itself, injects some javascript into the webpage and then presents it to you.
You can effectively surf the web, including google and yahoo, with the translation popups on, after you go through my reference portal, which is at:
http://www.securecottage.com/cgi-bin/reference.cgi
There is another version I am working on that will allow translations and replacement of text in input fields at:
http://www.securecottage.com/cgi-bin/dictionary14.cgi
These above two websites will allow you to surf any language version of Wikipedia with the translation popup feature on.
As well, the popup window has the option to bring up the Wikipedia article for the words that the cursor is over. Effectively the cursor position can create a link to Wikipedia with the words the cursor is currently over.
You are welcome, if you wish to, to try these webpages out.
Kind Regards,

CheckWiki data updated
sk rescanned the March dump. There are now 852 items at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Check_Wikipedia#Reference_tag_.3Creferences_.2F.3E_missing_.28partial_AWB.29. If you have a moment to set your bot onto it, I'd be glad. -- User:Docu
- Done (~80 edits), most of them were already done. Muro de Aguas (write me) 15:05, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. We will see what the numbers of today will show, but it appears that there are some false positives in the list (de:Benutzer_Diskussion:Stefan_Kühn/Check_Wikipedia#Error_.23003_.28en_Wikipedia.29). -- User:Docu
Bot problem
Your bot is adding <references /> tags to articles that already have references lists in them, for example: [2], [3], [4]. It's also adding tags to articles without any references in them, for example: [5], [6], [7]. You need to stop it from operating unless you can correct these problems. Detecting when there are no references in the article should be trivial, detecting malformed <references /> tags or substed {{reflist}} templates will be a little more complicated but not too much. --bainer (talk) 23:36, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
- I've corrected subst'ed templates, so it may not fail in that cases.
- On the other cases the problem is that there are <ref> tags (you can see them if you edit those pages [8] [9] [10]), but they are not shown in the article, because of the template where they are. So, that error is impossible to correct because the bot can't check whether they are or not shown. Muro de Aguas (write me) 13:52, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for correcting the behaviour for substed templates. The other issue does sound more difficult. How do you produce the lists that the bot works from? If you're parsing pages with regexes you could possibly check whether the <ref> tag is in a template parameter (something like \|.+=.*<ref> and so forth - or not, I'm trying to remember what I know about regexes off the top of my head!) and then check those ones manually. --bainer (talk) 15:00, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
GoogleTrans gadget in eswiki
Hi there,
I messaged you in the eswiki about the new update for the Translation Popups gadget (now called GoogleTrans). Are you interested in updating the gadget on the eswiki? If you aren't is there anybody else I can go to.
Do you know how it is being used, by the way?

RE: Muro_Bot creado una condición de error (on eswiki)
Please pardon my error in pointing to your bot as the source of the problem. Thanks, Leonard G. (talk) 16:54, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
Bot renames things to Spanish on the English Wiki
User:Muro Bot renames DEFAULTSORT to ORDENAR in its "cosmetic changes". Examples: here, here, here, and many more.
What happened? -- Magioladitis (talk) 17:11, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
It moved a stub template above categories in [11]. This is also wrong. -- Magioladitis (talk) 17:26, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
