I wanted to welcome you, but also to preemptively apologise for having reverted some of your early edits (I started doing this before I noticed you were a new user as well). The problem is that the most up to date refs I've seen (Carr, Surface of Mars, 2004) have Ma'adim V. as an outflow, not valley network. I'm certainly aware of it's "special" (unique?) status (i.e., as a putative lake overflow feature), and that neither outflow channel nor valley network is wholly applicable, but agreed with Carr's later views that outflow is probably better.
If you've got a more up to date reference, please feel free to make your changes again - and add the ref!
