Note

Hi Nat,

I noticed that you have been making edits on the Nathalie Handal page, which have been reverted. Instead of simply repeating the edits, can you please discuss them on the article talk page (which you can also access by clicking the discussion tab at the top of the wikipedia article) ?

Also take a look at the wikipedia policy links I have included above, and in case you are the poet Nathalie Handel or related to the her, please be aware on wikipedia's policies on

conflict on interest. Again, welcome and hope you'll enjoy your stay here. Abecedare (talk) 20:15, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply

Photo needed

While an editor has recently added a picture of you to the

WP:COPYREQ if you own a photograph of yourself that you would be willing to release under a free license. If you leave me a message I could assist with the technical details. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 00:16, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply

Please discuss your edits

Hello NatHandal. If you are editing your own biography, you should be willing to discuss the changes you are making with other editors. I didn't see anything obviously wrong about the two items you just removed from the article, and they seem to have reliable sources. Can you please explain why you removed that material? EdJohnston (talk) 01:34, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello everyone. I am terribly sorry but I do not quite get how to respond to all of you and I hope this is the way. Until today, I did not know I had messages, otherwise, I would have answered... so please accept my apologies. And thank you for the email letting me know to check the discussion page.

I thank you so much for all of you amazing and hard work and truly appreciate your assistence.

I see you made the chnages and I thank you. If you want any more explanation re my change request, I am happy to provide it. And re: your photo question/yes you can use it.

I will continue to try to navigate WIKI and answer all your questions. Again, thank you so very much. NatHandal

You got mail

I picked up the OTRS ticket and gave you a few pointers, hopefully Ed Johnston will also be disposed to help, since he's been friendly here. Feel free to ask for advice, I know Wikipedia is a confusing place. Stay

Hello NatHandal. Please consider allowing regular editors to contact you by email. You can do this by going into Special:Preferences and entering an email adress. This does not expose your address to the general public, but it allows you to be reminded of things in case you don't come to Wikipedia very often. If you need any assistance you can leave a request here on the Talk page. EdJohnston (talk) 00:00, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edits

Nathalie, I noticed that you made several edits to your biographical article

manual of style; for these reasons your edits had to be reverted. If you have any concerns about the current article, please raise them here, on the article talk page, or even email me about them, and we will certainly try to address those concerns. Regards. Hello. I moved your post from

Hello NatHandal. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Nathalie Handal, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about following reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see

our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. GabrielF (talk) 00:08, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply

Hi, I noticed that you've continued to make the same edits to Nathalie Handal despite being informed about the conflict of interest policies. Can you please review these policies and make sure that you understand them? It is not acceptable for the subject of an article to remove sourced information or a tag indicating a potential conflict of interest. GabrielF (talk) 01:22, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've checked the copyright status of the photograph in question. It appears that the photographer released the photo under a license that is compatible with Wikipedia. You are welcome to upload your own photo to Wikimedia Commons but I don't see any reason to remove the existing photo. GabrielF (talk) 02:27, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. GabrielF (talk) 13:35, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of response at Talk:Nathalie Handal

Hello NatHandal. You continue to remove well-sourced information and book reviews from the article on Nathalie Handal. You never explain your reasoning. You have yet to make proper use of Talk:Nathalie Handal to express whatever concerns you may have with the current article. Since you seem unable to properly use our system to get consensus, even after four years on Wikipedia, I have reluctantly proposed that you be blocked from editing. Wikipedia is not designed to serve as a promotional vehicle. You can respond to this message. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 16:54, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been
conflict of interest, as you did at Nathalie Handal. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Dear (talk) I did not take down information without explanation. In fact, I went through the channels and have been communicating with editors NatHandal (talk). One second, I will be back with links to show you our exchanges. Thank you so much.

Dear EdJohnston. Here is the link, exchange with editors - <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Nathalie_Handal#bookslut_vs_the_washington_post >. I think we are set now. I hope. Also, the other link you took down was merely a new essay by NH on Guernica Magazine (http://www.guernicamag.com/interviews/not-quite-invisible]. Sorry you did not see the exchange before and thank you so much for all. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Many thanks again. Apologies for any confusion. NatHandal (talk)
