Your GA nomination of Atlanta Braves

The article

good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:Atlanta Braves and Talk:Atlanta Braves/GA2 for issues which need to be addressed. Message delivered by ChristieBot, on behalf of SSSB -- SSSB (talk) 23:41, 26 December 2024 (UTC)

Please don't refactor my comments

OK I'm trying to assume good faith here but first you delete my annotated bibliography and then you say you're going to hat it and it just seems like you want to bury the several hours of work I put into trying to satisfy the frankly absurd standard being demanded for sourcing of this long past-due

WP:SKYBLUE change. Please just leave my comments at article talk alone. If you do that I will be happy to treat the deletion of my comments earlier as an honest mistake. Simonm223 (talk) 19:30, 21 January 2025 (UTC)

You're not assuming good faith by leaving me this message. Your comment was restored before you came here to leave this note. You're bludgeoning the discussion and that will discourage others from commenting. I accidently deleted it after attempting to post my survey twice because you keep making changes. I'd recommend a better use of your time. Nemov (talk) 19:34, 21 January 2025 (UTC)
The only reason for the deluge of reliable sources is because Springee and Toa Nidhiki05 demanded them as evidence. In past interactions with Springee where I've provided citations they've complained about a lack of quotes so I am providing those up front. As those quotes are from academic work some of those quotes are lengthy. I'd be happy to stop if those people insisting that the onus is on those people who feel the article is non-neutral will concede that sufficient reliable sources have been provided. Frankly I'm pretty tired of reading about the Republican party. Simonm223 (talk) 19:37, 21 January 2025 (UTC)
I'm asking for you to create a discussion section or collapse the
wall of text. If you're gonna ignore my advice and assume bad faith please leave me TALK. I asked nicely and you refused. I'm not interested in continuing this back and forth. Nemov (talk) 19:41, 21 January 2025 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Atlanta Braves

The article Atlanta Braves you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Atlanta Braves for comments about the article, and Talk:Atlanta Braves/GA2 for the nomination. Well done! Message delivered by ChristieBot, on behalf of SSSB -- SSSB (talk) 18:06, 11 January 2025 (UTC)

Thanks so much for your help with this nomination. It's a long article. Maybe I'll pick something a little smaller next time! Nemov (talk) 18:13, 11 January 2025 (UTC)

Congratulations, and happy new year 2025! Today, pictured on the Main page, Tosca, in memory of her first appearance on stage OTD in 1900, and of principal author Brian Boulton. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:40, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
Today I had a composer (trumpeter, conductor) on the main page who worked closely with another who just became GA, - small world! To celebrate: mostly flowers pics from vacation ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:54, 21 January 2025 (UTC)
Today is Schubert's birthday. I added a pic to his article (and my story) and raised a question on the talk, regarding the lead image. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:30, 31 January 2025 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

February music

story · music · places

On the main page today, 300 years after its first performance, Bach's cantata BWV 125, - a lovely very intimate piece, with peace and joy in the title. Enjoy listening with score - I discovered that only now! - Today is also the birthday of James Joyce, who has an article by many authors. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:45, 2 February 2025 (UTC)

My story torday is about an actor who played in almost every German TV series and in international cinema. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:55, 4 February 2025 (UTC)

I find today's birthday child particularly inspiring, by enthusiasm and determination. That was - believe it or not - a pictured DYK in 2021, without the last line though. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:10, 9 February 2025 (UTC)

Mozart. The video of a 1993 interview has videos of her performances. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:04, 13 February 2025 (UTC)

I point at a composer today, as the main page does. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:38, 20 February 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for your support, - with spring flowers and a songbird (in places) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:02, 28 February 2025 (UTC)

Notice of Dispute Resolution Discussion

Hello Nemov, I wanted to notify you that I have filed a request for dispute resolution regarding the Kathleen Kennedy (producer) article. The discussion concerns efforts to include sourced content about Kennedy’s managerial decisions at Lucasfilm and the disagreements regarding what should be included. You can participate in the discussion at the Dispute Resolution Noticeboard. Daniel Caspi (talk) 09:23, 16 March 2025 (UTC)

SPI

I know that the SPI just closed, but TurboSuperA+'s overlapping interests on Catholicism, Ukraine, and US politics all strike me as abundant evidence in favor of viewing them as a sock of, at the minimum, ShirtNShoesPls. I'm a bit preoccupied but plan to try and scrounge up some additional evidence. ~ Pbritti (talk) 14:40, 19 March 2025 (UTC)

@Pbritti anytime there's a new editor citing policy on that many drama boards and contentious topics, it's a red flag, but, maybe not. I'm generally not concerned, these things typically work themselves out. Nemov (talk) 14:50, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
I agree. Just figured I should say something since you seem on top of this case and it's something I've been involved in for a bit, too. Keep up the good work! ~ Pbritti (talk) 14:54, 19 March 2025 (UTC)

March music

New month: today is the birthday of Chopin and

Bach played by the other. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:34, 1 March 2025 (UTC)

Today: Carmen turns 150, as the main page and my story tell you. I chose a 1962 concert of the Habanera, - enjoy! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:25, 3 March 2025 (UTC)

On Ravel's birthday, we also think of a conductor and five more composers ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:50, 7 March 2025 (UTC)

Today I could have written five stories off the main page, and chose Sofia Gubaidulina. I find the TFA also interesting, and two DYK, and a birthday OTD. How about you? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:19, 16 March 2025 (UTC)

Today: an opera, 100 years old OTD, on Bach's birthday. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:42, 21 March 2025 (UTC)

Today, 300 years of Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern, BWV 1! We sang works for (mostly) double choir by Pachelbel, Johann Christoph Bach, Kuhnau/Bach, Gounod and Rheinberger! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:33, 25 March 2025 (UTC)

@Gerda Arendt, don't worry too much about the obvious SPA attempts to influence discussions. It's definitely the strangest group I've come across in this project, and there's something oddly charming about how much people care about something so trivial. Nemov (talk) 18:14, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
"oddly charming" is exactly what I felt but couldn't word ;) - no I didn't worry for a second --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:18, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
