OOD
OOD = Out Of Date. I work in a shop that sells food, we're not allowed to sell stuff past its expiry date. Occasionally somebody doesn't check the displays thoroughly and something gets missed. When spotted (by anybody, such as the till staff) we need to alert the relevant food section staff member so that they can check the stock on display, and if they are in the presence of customers we don't want to alarm them so we use the term "OOD" so that they don't know what we're talking about. So next time you're in a shop and see a cashier wave a box of cakes and call "Hoy, Dave! OOD!" you know why. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 19:32, 7 October 2020 (UTC)

- @Scope creep:: Feel free. If you added a "please" and "thankyou" then I might have reconsidered. I don't take rather snide comments like yours too seriously. What is wrong with being "semi-retired" as well? Nightfury 09:35, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
- @WP:BADNAC. scope_creepTalk14:38, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
- Not a single one of those other editors referred to policy when they made their comment, just a subject, emotive, It should be kept as its big company. Nothing referral to the state of coverage or discussion of what the references looked like. Just a It is a big company in Ukraine, lets keep it.. I would suggest you don't close any Afd's again. Admins do far more that other people and they get good at it. Please do not close any Afd I post again. scope_creepTalk 14:42, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Scope creep: Regardless, nobody is "particularly good" at closing AfDs. You still haven't answered my question re me being semi-retired. I still think your attitude was out of line, I don't think we have ever interacted yet you seem to bite the head off an editor for a simple AfD close. What is this? Last time I checked you are not an admin? Seriously? Nightfury 14:49, 14 October 2020 (UTC)- It not the case. Certain admins tend to 1000's of them, and they got very good very quickly, in determining what the correct outcome is. Regarding this, if somebody in Afd mentioned in a particularly point and I tried to refute them in that Afd, then you closed it as a keep, I would hve accepted it. But all of them are SPA's, and all of them don't discuss notability policy in regard to their company, in any way, merely that fact, that the company is Ukrainian and its big. That is the sum of their argument and that is not AFD consensus to just to say keep. scope_creepTalk 14:56, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Today you requested that a file I uplodaed be delted due to no proof of copyright permission
I have now upload what I hope will be proof enough of me obtaining copyright permission

- @revealing your true identity/revealing someone else's in error delete as appropriate with your new uploads); secondly ideally we need the original uploader of that image to upload it to here (if they wish to); ideally with complete metadata, unfortunately yours has most of it missing. Thirdly, Facebook isn't a source we generally regard as being particularly noteworthy, as it is possible for any person to copy images from Google onto Facebook and claim them as their own. So yeah, my reason to delete still stands, unfortunately. Nightfury11:49, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
- Actually, better still I will send you a link on your Commons talkpage that you can use to send permission over. The kind people at OTRS can fathom out what is acceptable. Nightfury 11:51, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Thank you very much for getting back to me with all that information, it has really helped.
I have found this when looking up OTRS, if I send this link to the copyright holder and if they were to fill this out would this help to/completely resolve the issue with the image you have requested for deletion?
https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wikimedia_OTRS_release_generator
P.S. I have never filled in metadata for images before as I did not know that was fully needed, I will look at what is needed for any future images I upload. Maurice Oly (talk) 12:41, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Maurice Oly: Metadata is automatically filled by the device that the image is taken on, for reference. Link is okay, yes. Nightfury 12:43, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Since the link is ok I will send that to the copyright holder and ask them to go though the process.
Sadly I did not have the meta data I my phone was not the device that the photo was taken on.
As for the images with my facebook profile I used here, I will try and find a way to get those deleted.
Many Thanks for getting back to me, I’m assuming that the copyright holder will need a wikiapeda account to go though the process via that link? Maurice Oly (talk) 12:50, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Maurice Oly: Dont worry about the facebook images, ive already taken care of them. Thanks Nightfury 12:54, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Thank you very much for that. Maurice Oly (talk) 13:02, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
