Hello Barek,

My apologies for the repeated edits. This was my first time editing and I thought I was accidentally deleting them before saving. I've read the page about original research and must disagree with your determination. What I submitted is not research but rather a description much like the ones that have been submitted before mine. I'd be interested in knowing how my edit differs from the descriptions of wood colors and characteristics in references #4-8.

Thanks, Nina823 (talk) 14:47, 8 February 2018 (UTC) Nina[reply]

The linked reference never even mentions Amish furniture. As a result, linking it to the article is original research, as it requires applying interpretation that's not stated in the reference. Even without that concern, the material defining quarter sawing belongs in its own article (and actually already is contained over there). --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 05:22, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Got it - thank you! So if the text I linked to included specific mention of Amish furniture and my description of QSWO was reduced to one sentence, much like the other wood descriptions, would that satisfy the guidelines? Nina823 (talk) 14:26, 9 February 2018 (UTC)Nina[reply]

Hi Barek! The page I'll be linking to does specifically mention "Amish furniture" and I have shortened my description of QSWO. I hope you find these changes acceptable and I'll be editing the page shortly. Thank you!
