Categories and Archicing User Talk pages

Hello, Opencross,

Next time, if a tournament like Delray Beach International Tennis Championships changes its name, do not empty out a category and create a new category with the new name. We like to keep the page history together. Instead, propose a category rename at

Categories for Discussion
. What you did is emptying categories "out of process" and it is considered disruptive editing and is discouraged.

Also, experienced editors archive their talk pages when messages are no longer useful, they don't repeatedly blank a user talk page. This makes it difficult for other editors to see previous discussions that have occurred here and can sometimes be seen as a way of hiding critical comments. So, if you plan on staying around and editing for a while, please get in the habit of archiving talk page messages when you feel like they are no longer necessary. But most editors typically leave at least a month's worth of messages up on their talk pages. You can find help with this at Help:Archiving a talk page. THank you. Liz Read!
