I see you've uploaded Image:Sdkfz 002.jpg and indicated that the copyright holder has released the image for any use. I can't find anything on the website you gave as the source indicating this is the case -- the closest is a clear statement of "all rights reserved". Could you tell me why you think the copyright holder has released all rights? --Carnildo 04:41, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
- Hey Carnildo, thanks for the heads up. I thought i saw something in that page that would have all rights were released. Im sorry. I'll be more careful next time. Do you have the link to the information page for the image rulings and copyrights? paat 13:07, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

- Would there be an article in Wikipedia to help me chose which rights or rules would work best for images i upload for article? paat 20:05, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
- There's no central location for this. Probably the best place is Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags for asking any questions you might have. --Carnildo 19:58, 11 January 2006 (UTC)]
- Thanks, well i have a quick question, you might be able to answer. I am a student from école Garneau, and I am one of the students that work on the website; www.escgarneau.com (i think its down now, but is probably up when u will read this). For any pictures that i take to work on articles, ex.: GuG, what kind of copyright tag do i put, since for some pictures, I am half the author, since we someitmes work many on it, and i know that any picture on the site is really free for anyone to use? paat 22:01, 11 January 2006 (UTC)]
- That's a tricky one. If you created the picture for something other than your official work on the website, then most likely you own the copyright on it, and you can pick whatever free license you want (I recommend the Creative Commons Share-Alike Attribution license). If you created the picture as part of your official work on the school website, then the school probably owns the copyright, and you'd need to ask permission to use it on Wikipedia. --Carnildo 07:22, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

Same with Image:Sdkfz 001.JPG. The image comes from a model shop site ( http://www.d-9models.co.uk/cgi-local/getpage.pl?searchstring=16#HASEGAWA ). I didn't find any indication that it's free and and since it's an image of a model box cover it seems likely that the copyright is owned by the company that produced the model ( http://www.hasegawa-model.co.jp/e-w/ITEMLIST/MT.htm ). I believe we stil can use the image as fair use with an appropriate tag, though... Or did I miss something ? Bukvoed 14:58, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Hey Paat!
Check out Talk:Garneau User Group. I think we're going to have to merge our article. But At least in the future you won't have to face stupid (and often anoying) deletionist actions. Just send a comment to user:Neutrality as discussed in the garneau user group talk page. --CyclePat 21:35, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Poutine 2.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{

I just now noticed that you asked way back in March which goal they played in the background at the "first nation of hockey" line in the old "I am Canadian" ads in response to my comment that it was the greatest ever. It was Paul Henderson's goal in Game 8 of the Summit Series with 34 seconds left on the clock, winning the series for Canada. - dharmabum 22:45, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks, but didn't we just tie the series 4-4, having won only 1 game in Canada, but winning three games (including the last one) in Russia? paat 01:40, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Article Improvement
Diacritics By Maxim In the past few weeks, there has been quite heated discussion about the use of diacritics in article name. The current guideline is using diacritics in the pages of articles of all player names which require them, but redirects are exempt. Task forces By Maxim
This task force was initiated by Featured article status. It covers all Swedish clubs, leagues and competitions and associated articles, players and coaches that are Swedish, or have played/coached for a Swedish club, and arenas in Sweden. They plan to eventually operate as a sort of a sub-project, which will have its own articles for creation, ranking importance and quality of articles, and co-ordinate article improvement. Its current members are Krm500, Bamsefar75, and CLAES .
This task force was initiated by Featured Topic status. Although it currently meets the required article count, the task force wishes to improve it further. Its area of coverage is very similar to the Sweden Ice Hockey task force. Its members are Bsroiaadn, JHMM13, FutureNJGov, Sportskido8, Michael Greiner, JRWalko, and Soxrock .

Replaceable fair use Image:Pogge13.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Pogge13.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 22:54, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
