Patsy Moore

I am very sorry to hear about your defamation. Libel poses a serious risk to the project, and we take it very seriously. The page has been semi-protected so new and unregistered users cannot edit it. As a courtesy, you can visit

WP:RFO and get the revisions erased if you would like. This shouldn't take too long once an oversight, (a trusted user that is given access to destroy revisions), receives the message. Once again, I am very sorry to hear about the changes, and we feel that other users have taken the appropriate actions to ensure that this does not happen again. Thank you. Furthermore

I've requested for the revisions to be oversighted. I've also filed a report at

here. Per here, Boofbaby has been blocked indefinitely, and cannot create another account from his computer, because we've blocked his computer from account creation. He cannot edit the article because we've blocked his computer for 24 hours, and then it cannot edit your article. The other libelist has not yet been blocked, but I've filed a report against that, so he should be blocked for a period of time, and possibly have his account creation blocked. Your article, Patsy Moore is semi-protected for a period of 2 weeks, so neither users will be able to edit the article, due to technical restrictions. I hope this help, and the other libelist should be blocked soon, and the revisions erased permanently. Cool Bluetalk to me 12:02, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply

An update

As mentioned above, Boofbaby has been blocked indefinitely, and will stay blocked until he personally apologizes to you. If he attempts to evade this block, the edits will be reverted once there's enough proof that it's him.

I also emailed the other libelist's ISP, so it's very likely that his Internet access will be torpedoed. The admin who protected your article told me that it will be protected for much longer than 2 weeks, so it will be a very long time before those two can even attempt to edit that article.

I'm not an admin--just an ordinary user. But I apologize--on my behalf and on behalf of the whole community--for what has happened. We have a very strict policy regarding

Thanks

I appreciate the prompt attention to this matter. Wikipedia provides an invaluable service (I use it, practically, everyday!) and should be respected by all users. Hopefully, your efforts will put an end to, at least, this violation.PatsyMoore 17:58, 9 May 2007 (UTC)Patsy Moore[reply]
